Performance mods. Need some ideas.

So I got myself an 08 ss/tc. I've been focusing on visual mods lately, but I want to start on the performance side. I already have a full catback exhaust and a CAI and would like to eventually be between 320-360hp if not slightly higher. Where should I start?

I would get a good tune next. Even with your exhaust and cai. You are still only making stock HP and trq. The computers learn down feature stops you from making any real extra power over stock until the car has been tuned for the mods. So a good HP tune or trifecta would really be a great next step.

You have two options if you were looking to get past 320 whp... bigger turbo (which will get you about 380-400whp) or if you want to stay on the stock turbo you'll have to tune for an ethanol blend (which would put you about 350-360whp). When you say 'full catback' are you implying that you have a downpipe as well?

Gm stage 1 upgrade. Hard charg piping . Zzp intercooler and zfr. Lastly a tune.
With that you will be putting the tip in a 400 hp lady.

The three things that will give you the buggest bang for the buck are downpipe, SRI/CRI, and then a tune.

You already have a CAI, hope it's a good one. Next step should be down pipe. Then shortly after that, a good tune.

exactly what he said, if you are wanting to go past 320 you either need a bigger turbo (zfr IMO) or need to run E. otherwise full bolts ons and a tune will put you around 320.

I rolled 315/353 with some bolt-ons and a comparatively mild "please don't let me kill my motor" term2 tune. I've since had term2 do a "let's step on this thing and see what it does" tune but haven't been on the rollers yet. can't wait.

There's always the KO4+, with his current mods and tune that will put him in that range on pump. I'm still new the LNF so leang more about the ZFR's powerband, the LNF I bought already had the KO4+ installed.

you can hit 330whp on full bolt ons and a tune on pump gas with your car... to get 360 you would need to run e85 as well...

but these are both aggressive tunes and not meant for longevity if you are always ******* your car lol..

so get a good catless DP like TurboXS or Hahn, and a FMIC and pipes.

It isn't exactly cost efficient, but I believe it is the closest thing to direct bolt on replacement you can get iirc.

you have stock tc and want 320 hp.. just get a tune and a DP and a clutch, because you will need the clutch for more power later on anyway.

Big turbo... lol you guys

if you read everything he said 320-360.....which would require a bigger turbo UNLESS he was fully bolted, tuned, and on E.........read.

I don't consider the KO4+ really a bigger turbo, even though it is (just a bit bigger). He said 320-360, which the 360 range that's what you'll need with pump, not e85/e47. Or you can always just find a happy dyno and call it a day.

You can hit 320 HP on stock turbo bolt ons easy. 320whp will require things like big turbos.

Gotta build it up before you can max the power.

Clutch Downpipe Tune, then if you aren't happy with 300whp and 350wtrq upgrade zee turbo, and transmission and internals, and and and

you guys are all misinformed about the power the stock k04 can put out. my buddy has a full bolt on pump gas 22psi tune by css3 and dynod 329.5whp and ~360wtq..

another friend, have no idea who tuned him, but is on e85 and has 355whp (don't know torq). all stock k04...

this guy wants 320-360whp. last time i checked 330whp is in that range, don't go talking about big turbos and ****... let him just get a catless DP and a good tune, he should be fine.
