I'm not trying to put the cobalt down (I have one in my garage), I'm just saying there is a lot more potential with a 5.3 than a 2.0. An intake and exhaust won't do much untill the heads and cams are done, that's what wakes these motors right up.

I hope your joking right? The gran prix gxp is a tank. Its not meant to go fast and dont think theres much of an aftermarket for the gxp.

High? Try low. I ran a 14.2@98mph with my mom's bone stock Grand Prix GXP. Heavy car but they move not bad.

gxp's can move, but they are tanks, only limitation is the small tranny in a fwd car. you can get serious power out of a 5.3 kids, just like a coablt can too.

Put that same amount of money into a cobalt = turbo swap = cobalt rapes gxp again

The grand prix gxp does a 0-60 in about 5 flat with a good driver and they don't stop pulling. My cousin use to have one and it was quite the rocket on the highway.
Since when does 5.3 have cams? And were are you coming up with those numbers? If the car was rwd i think there would be a bigger aftermarket for it and more potential. Who really wants a fwd v8 in a performance vehicle. Also they dont do 0-60 in 5 flat.

2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP 0-60 mph 5.6 Quarter mile 14.1 (Stock)

CAI---K&N 63 Aircharger
HP Tuners (VCM Suite)
Magnaflow Cat-Back Exhaust
Hogan Downpipe (DP7S) comes with Magnaflow Super High-Flow Cat Converter
Headers by Doug Thorley
1/4 mile now = 12.9 (Not Stock without Turbo)

It's a tank.....but not a piece of junk.

You guys dont realize this is the LS4. Way different 5.3 than you normally know.

What day was this will? Was down there sat night and last night.

I also would love to put him in his place. The G6 GXP guy wanted to run me but it was getting too late.

The Monte Carlo was also a big tank with the same Ls4, the Bonnevile also....FWD....why would they even bother giving one 303hp.....I would imagine they handle like they weigh..(3600 lbs).

So the v6 supercharged vs the ls4...wonder which one is faster stock?
The G8 GT, GXP and GTP are such a better car!

Once the tranny in the car hits third? they're complete dogs, don't hesitate to roll him, I walked my buddie's GTP pretty badly and his was rather modded. An LS4 car wouldn't be a challenge.
