Pricing of the 08-10 SS?
Pricing of the 08-10 SS?
Been thinking about getting another RWD car again. I did a search of 500 miles on Autotrader and found about 15 turbo SSs (08-10). They were priced high. What should I ask for my car? I only have 32k mileage.
You can see my mods and a description in my sig. Not many people know this car exists or what a level 4 even means. My guess is that a previous SC SS owner would know what hes getting. Not a big market. This is a lot of car for the money, but most don't know about the LNF.

If you trade it in at a dealer you will be lucky to get 9-12 for it, only way you will get any money out of it is selling it privately to an enthusiast.
I just bought a 2008 with 6kmiles g85/LSD/sunroof with all the original gm warranty/onstar/roadside for 15,450 from a Chevrolet dealership.

IMO it comes down to how clean the car is and what you look like. If I show up and the car is dirty at all, the price goes way down. If I show up and the guy has his hat on crooked and wearing baggy pants below his ass, he could be the nicest guy in the world but I'm most likely not going to buy his car. I normally sell my cars for more than market value. In the last year I've had two people ask if I want to sell it, and I threw out the price of $17k (because it's not for sale) both guys wanted to take it further, and I ended up just saying I don't want to sell it.
I hate when people tell me that they can get one for way less then what I'm selling it for, why are you wasting my time then.....Oh because you want a nice car but don't want to pay for it. IC

I had a guy offer me 16K for mine just last week. I had a hard time saying, "no." Mine is and '08 with 24K miles and impeccably clean. He also knows the history of the car and has ridden in it many times, though, which helps.
It's hard to say what you will get from one of these cars. It really depends on the buyer you find, the amount of time you have to sell it, and how clean it is. If you did stupid **** to it, like debadging it, pulling of front screens, painting interior parts, painting rims, lowering it, scraping the front lip, gunking up the interior, or just plain acting like a teenager, you won't get much for it. Stock always gets you the most money back. Funny how that works.
Now, apicia, I seem to remember that you keep your car REALLY clean, so you should be able to get 15-16K for it.

Most 4 cylinder engines (aside for a few. Subaru is obviously one of the exceptions with it being an H4) are regarded as I4 or L4 engines which stands for an In-Line 4 cylinder orientation.
Boy that made my day..
Wow this made me chuckle for quite some time. If by "level 4" you mean L4, that's the cylinder orientation in the engine NOT a level number my man.. lol.. Sort of like an H4, I4, F4, I5, V8, ect ect.

Dealership certification bringing an extended powertrain warranty to the table is usually worth about $500 give or take in actually value, but be able to finance and do everything at a dealership online through DMV with the certification makes the value of the car higher.
Hence why people pay more at a dealership, and dont buy the car when the person is asking the same money in a private sale.
