Production Number
Is there anyway to find out what production number my new SS/TC is? Also does anybody actually know the total production number for 2008, I know it was pretty low. Im just curious, I know for example, on my 1980 Vette the last 8 digits or so in the VIN indicate the production number. Anybody know?

This may help.

Edit: Keep in mind that your ss/tc rolls off the same line as any other Cobalt, so it'll be hard to tell if you got the "413th" one, etc.

Production numbers also increased at the complex to 19,964 Cobalts in April versus 18,793 a year ago. Year-to-date production is 78,562 compared to 74,614 last year...Meanwhile, the Lordstown complex also is catering to the performance crowd. One out of every 15 cars it makes — about 70 a day — is a turbocharged Cobalt SS, which has a top speed of 160 miles per hour and still gets estimated 25 miles per gallon overall for under $25,000.
