Not the same size...good thing I took this random pic when I first got them

One thing, in this pic I had two fronts with the veins running the same way, R1 sent me another front, no questions asked when I raised the issue to them

It would probably be better if you put this thread under their section of the supporting vendors forum. Also you'd probably get ahold of them a lot faster if you called or PM'd them.

Personally I think thats a bit expensive for the drilled and slotted rotors. These rotors were my first mod to my car and I wish I wouldn't have gotten them. They perform worse then stock and they are terrible in the rain IMO. The only good thing I got out of them was the appearence.

Drilled and slotted are doing nothing for you. The drilled holes just crack like playing connect the dots if you heat cycle them severely. And the slots are pretty useless too.

I didn't get them for performance (I guess I should have stated that lol) I got them for the looks. But I didn't think they would perform as shitty as they do. And so far nothing has cracked and Ive had them on for about 15k miles. They are a little warped but nothing that cant be fixed. I'm probably gonna get them turned this winter.

Ahh yes. Add another reason to not get drilled or slotted. Most shops will not turn them because there's a good chance it will break the bit. It's possible, but it must be done very slowly, and for drilled, you're supposed to ream the holes. No one's going to do that for the measly cost of a rotor turn job.

Worse comes to worse I keep my stock rotors on after winter...

Strange you're having issues, mine have gone through torrential downpours, winter, etc. and not a single problem with braking. Suppose one question, what pads are you running? The HPS seem to come up to temp quicker than stock and I have no issues with sluffing the water off the rotors, but once the stock pads are up to temp (which in winter took longer than the HPS imo) they sluff the water off quicker than the HPS and stop much harder. Summer driving, stock pads stop harder hands down, but I find no difference over stock rotors with the R1s, so far so good .

I was considering plain R1 Concepts with Hawk PCs, but I think I'm just gonna keep my stock rotors and get HPS's

If you have the money go stock ferodos. I have the HPS for a couple weeks now. I understand why when ppl say they're not as good as stocks. For daily use the HPS is okay. I do track my car here and there and I'm going to get the stocks after i burn this set of HPS lol

I believe the stocks burn through your rotors though. True of false?

We do have them, just not listed on our site yet. Just pm me here and I will take care of you. No, the rear rotors are not the same size as the fronts.

Thanks for the chime in! Glad everything worked out.

The Stock pads are highly aggressive pads. Good thing about them is the braking power... that's about it. Aggressive pads have harder compound, which at times can give you more noise, dust, and shorten life expectancy. Hawk pads are lesser dust and lesser noise then the stocks but in return, you lose a bit of braking power.

Rotors can only make only about 10%-15% difference of the braking power, the rest is the pads you are going to use.

Thanks
Steven.
