Recieved my new summer tires today

So i had ordered a new set of summer shoes because they were 2 month until they would show up but they showed up today
Bridgestone Potenza re760 sport
I have had nothing but good luck and traction with these tires so i decided to go wider then previously. I went with 255/35R18, I will post pictures up this evening.

Pics or it didn't happen and you are going to be running the tires off a scion xa....

Seriously though I love bridgestones. I am going with BFG GeForce drag radials for mine. Melissa isn't going to be the daily driver much longer.

What inflation pressure will u be running?

What wheel size?

I run this size on 18x9.5 on my evo. Just killed some RE01R's, will be putting RE11s on this summer. The RE760s are a good value. A lot of my friends run them and I've never heard a complaint.

Your going to run a 255/35/18 on the stock wheels!!! That's a 10" wide tire on a 7.5" wheel

I hope your doing this solely for looks and that you don't ever plan on agresivley driving your car around turns i.e. canyon passes, auto-x, track.... You know there is a reason a 9-10" rim is recommended for 255 tires right?

I have 18x8's and the widest I would ever go is a 235

Stock TC wheel of 7 1/2" width is NOT a good thing with this size. I don't care if you're a mechanic or what ever. That tire is will be PINCHED and you're gonna give back any and all benefits you might gain with this tire and size. Good luck...you'll need it.
Tire rack spec show a MINIMUM wheel width of 8 1/2" for this tire and size:

Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport

And this shop recommended a 235/40/18 on an 18x8?

It's a great combo for our car, a slightly wider footprint helps.

The info is a little dated but it still holds true.

I dont auto cross or live near canyons. i live in flat lands. My car is in a straight line when its aggressively drivin. I have ran 245 on stock wheels heavey into corners and hadn't had an issue. I am aware whats recommended rim size for 255's

Tom G. where in alberta do you live?

OK...terrible choice though. Car won't handle well at all...side wall flex. I guess you must want em for looks only, because they will perform badly. Also, they will heat up quicker. One last comment...don't do any high speed ****...could be a recepie for disaster.
Enjoy.
