removing C- pillars from 08 Coablt SS Turbo?

hey everyone!

I wanna paint my rear C-pillars but when i went to remove the pillar their was this wiring harness attached to it. Its the air bag sensor but it really dosent look like it can be disconnected.......its not a simple male and female connection. Has anyone out their ever removed thier C-pillars........pictures would sure help
