Question Removing valve cover, what should i check?

All,

My car bout to turn 70,000 and I have the oil leak out the cam cover. Gonna do the repair myself and take off the valve cover to give things a looksy. I'm not knowledgable on the valvetrain, can you please provide guidance, pics, suggestions, money, etc. on what I should be looking for, if I should tighten bolts on cam or valves, use penetrating thread locker(with torque wrench). Please. I thanks you. YOU ARE COOL!

If your car is running fine I doubt you'll see anything wrong... at all.

I guess just look for sludge buildup.. which I doubt you'll have if you've been using synthetic and keeping up with your oil changes.

Fix your oil leak and be on your way. =)
