I just got my SS T/C a couple weeks ago and it's the best purchase I've ever made. Anyway its time to get the windows tinted. I know that tinting the windshield is illegal...I had it for 3+ years in my old car and while I was pulled over numerous times for my front windows, no cop ever noticed my windshield...so please don't flame me..So my question is how to remove the RPD to make tinting the windshield easier, any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

you cant remove it.

I mean you can remove it, but the car wont run properly if not at all, so I've heard.

i don't have the RPD but my guess is pop off the pillar and disconnect the wiring.... should be straight forward. As far as not being able to remove it, i find that hard to believe, but i don't have the RPD so maybe

I know the car doesn't run without it, I just want to remove it so I can tint the windows, then pop it back in

yeah, you cant remove it if you plan on driving the car to the tint shop...

ok then yeah, im sure its easy as popping off the A-pillar and disconnecting the wire.

This guy installed one, so Im sure some info on this thread might help you.

Thanks I was looking for that post. It seems its as easy as removing the pillar and disconnecting some wires so we'll see what happens
