Now i have a problem. I am trying to buy a Cobalt SS, I can not find any coupes around my price range, and i think i have found a sedan in my price range. I am looking to take it to the track every once in a while, drag and road course, and i am hoping it will be able to handle just as good as the coupe?

Any ideas? As far as handling on sharp turns at higher speeds, how does the Sedan compare to the Coupe?
To answer your question. Here you go. Take it for what its worth. tuned cobalt SS sedan

My coupe weighed 2880 on a certified scale . Where did you get the weigh for the sedan? I wonder if anyone has info from one on a track scale . My coupe doesn't have a sunroof nor did it come with a spare or jack so maybe thats why mine seems light.

Back seats are for kids. If you don't have them I could not fathom why you would even consider a 4 door. Get coupe get fast. / thread

Curb weights from GM, sedan at 3,001 and coupe at 2,975. Don't shoot the messenger.

Are you sure the sedans you can find in your price range aren't the NA cobalt "SS". Let's hope not!

I'm partial to the sedan myself. Biased maybe. I do like the coupe, but for my personality and my lifestyle, the sedan was the way to go. I also didn't like how long the doors are in coupes - makes getting in and out a pain sometimes.

I agree that the coupe does say domestic rice a bit much if it's got the high-rise. But I am attracted to it a little

Exactly. Make sure you do not look at the NA Cobalt SS. It doesn't deserve the SS moniker.

Sedans FTW.

Objectively, the coupe looks like a chick car. It's reminiscent of the Sunfires, Berettas, etc that were mainly driven by the high school girls back when I was in school (talking 90s here).

The sedan appeals more and more as you get older I think.

Which is why I bet you're younger than me, probably significantly so.

To each their own, agree to disagree.

I could see how one would prefer the sedans, but for me, I'm not getting a 4 door until I have kids, and even then I'd rather strap a car seat on the top of my corvette than drive any 4 door that's currently made. Unless it's a Panamera, that's my mom car lol.

Lol there's no correlation between speed and whether the car is a coupe or sedan. That's just coincidence.

I wish I had 93 Oct. Honestly, I wouldn't be running E85 if I had 93.

Wrong, no, no, and no.

Ugliest thing about this car is the front end. The side profile is bland, but decent. So once you take that away.... the sedan is just ugly as ****.

What? its got the exact same front end of a coupe? im confused!

you can literally swap the bumper, headlights, grill, hood, and probably fenders and they will fit like a glove.

It has the same front end as a coupe.... and if you take that all away, you just have one 3rd of a car.
