Yeah. That's my point. The front end is ugly, it's the side profile and rear that save our coupes from looking like ass. But when you take those away by shoving an extra door in where it doesn't belong (sedan) and replace the rear with the most generic looking rear end that is physically possible (sedan rear) then you end up with a horrifyingly ugly car, IMO.

I don't think anyone on this forum bout a cobalt (coupe or sedan) for its striking beauty. But all in all, I still like my sedans styling better than my coupe. Sleeper status is also a great thing.

Sure. To me, somewhat decent car that turns a few heads > car that looks a rental, but people will say, "oh haven't seen an SS sedan before" when you beat them in a street race.

The sedan appeals more and more as you get older I think.

Which is why I bet you're younger than me, probably significantly so.

To each their own, agree to disagree.
I might be younger .... im 36 . If the sedan had been out when i bought my LNF I would have looked at one due to the 2 kids i have . I would have liked to see the sedan with a ss coupe rear bumper on it.

Sorry for the late response. I have always had the benz. It was my first car i bought, and probably the best. I sold my supercharged GT in February, and still have the cash looking for another car. Around where i live, i can not for a SS/TC with low miles, and in great condition. The only one i found was in my budget, and was a sedan, if i only told you the price this thing is selling for, all of your would do backflips in your seat, and tell me to buy it!

IMO i think they look good from all angles except the back, the tail lights on the sedans dont look nearly as good as the coupes. But seeing that video of the SS sedan vs the M3, and z06 made me wonder... i didnt care that the m3 and corvette was not pulling away, because its the driver. But just focusing on the SS was pretty crazy how good it grabbed the road. Thanks a lot for the posts, and help guys.

And i am not trading the benz for this car, Benz is my cruising car, and my SS will be my racing car. just like the mustang

The sedan just looks wrong. And if you are going to argue the merits of the 2.4 SS, then the 2010+ Camaro shouldn't be a Camaro as it is just a Cadillac with a body kit.

Just make sure that sedan your looking at is a 2009 SS. In 2007-2008 there was another SS sedan but it had a naturally aspirated 2.4L motor. You want the one with the 2.0L turbo LNF motor.

The only sedan I would ever own is a CTS-V. And even then, I'd try to find a coupe.

FWIW, I have had a whole slew of "pocket rockets" for DDs (Contour SVT, SVT Focus, SRT4, ZX2 S/R, Shelby Charger Turbo), and when the SS T/C came out in '08, I took an interest, just because of the performance. Not to offend anyone, but I always hated the styling of the coupes, they just screamed boy racer to me, I much prefer to blend in (the red SRT4 wasn't exactly good at that either admittedly). So when I picked up C+D and saw they were coming out with a sedan version, I sold my M3 and went out and got one. I wanted white, but they couldn't find one without a sunroof that had and LSD, so I ended up with a black one. People are still asking what it is, it is amazing how few people realize they made a turbo sedan. I wouldn't own a coupe, and I have no kids, and I'm not sure anyone has ever even sat back there.

i think the sedan is better, i had an 06 SS/SC G85 and i loved the car, but i traded it in on my SS/TC Sedan G85 and i couldnt be happier, its an all around better car, 4 doors is way nice and it feels very sturdy in the corners and in a strait line, and i have one of the rarest sedans made, i have the FIRST Rally Yellow SS/TC Sedan ever made of the 15, i have the "Unicorn"

Don't take this the wrong way but when we were tracking down all the Rally yellow SS sedans 3-4 other people came into the thread with vin's for yellow SS sedans that weren't listed in the original 15 . The numbers GM gave us were given while the sedan was still in production so there's a good chance that there is a bit more than 15 out there . I've personally check 19 vin's given to me from this site ......so im sure there are some out there that don't even know about this site.

Another source (compnine) puts the number of RY SS/T sedans at 34 total. Just a heads up 8)

Still confuses me how people think sedans perform better lol. It's the same car just with extra doors.

Way mo Better !!

I felt too cramped in the coupe - drove one at the "Mark of Excellence Test Drive" earlier this year.

The sedan, on the other hand, was quite comfy.

ive had 3 coupes so far and love em. the sedan looks like a rental to me, even if it is turbo'd. i did buy mine for the look of the car in 06, i didnt kno crap about modding cars at the time. now ive got 2 for the reason tha theyre good on gas and easy as heck to mod. its like a big lego lol i think either way, the OP will be happy with his car

sedan FTW, and imperial blue is definitely the best color

doors feel ridiculously heavy on a coupe after having a sedan for so long, plus they also seem huge, and the reason some people say sedans perform better is because of a slightly better weight distribution, which I think was already mentioned here. as long as you get an LNF, you made a good choice.

yeah I guess after you get used to it, it would just be normal, but I had one while my car was at the dealer once and the first time I went to open the door I almost took out the car next to me because I swear it weighed twice as much as my doors.

I had a ss/sc coupe before my sedan and loved the car and still like the coupes. I bought the sedan due to children and at one point was our only car so we needed the 2 more doors. I prefer the sedan in EVERY single way over the coupe. The rear took some getting use to and now it doesn't bother me even though I am still kinda upset that GM didn't put a rear valence of some sort on the sedan. The rear looks better now that the car is completely blacked out, lol. For some reason I have received more compliments on my sedan than I ever did on my coupe. I think age does have allot to do with it as well.
