Which Setup?

Alright guys, I'm having the hardest time deciding what I want to do in the upcoming weeks.

I'm looking for an upgraded turbo for the daily balt. I currently love the driveability of the car, how it pulls so nicely, barely spins, and is reliable overall. I also surprise quite a few people overall with the car.

So, currently its between the BTF Stock upgraded turbo, or the whole ZZP S252 kit.

I'm curious to what everyone thinks will be a better buy for a reliable daily driver. I don't beat on the car too often, only when I pull up to something and have a quick pull, etc, etc.

If you have the money I would go with the ZZP kit with the bullseye 252, but If you kinda have a buget lol then obviously go with the k04 upgrade

I really don't think you need a turbo upgrade for a daily driver. Just my 2 cents.

I have plenty of power with the stock turbo with my mods & tune but it's your $$$. Mine's a DD also.

Well yeah I have full bolt ons and tuned right now, it makes quite the bit of power, just weighing my options and seeing what the community says for an old timer like me.

I should put my mods in my profile at some point instead of being lazy.

The two to choose from aren't even close enough to each other warrant a poll, if money is no issue, the ZZP kit.

well the k04 upgrade would be a nice upgrade to stay DD; But if you want tons more power or want to drag race get the zzp kit then.

The KO4 is junk man... it's sooo small you get peaky torque numbers but in actuality it's still slow!

I'm hoping to baby the **** out of it when I'm in DD mode. Trying to stay as reliable as possible. Though power breaks stuff and I know this, and am prepared. =)

You can make any turbo DD'able. You just keep your foot out of it and drop the boost. It's not that hard...

my 2871 is very street friendly, just cruise around like normal... but when I get on it... You know it's there!

it all depends on the plans that you have for the car... do you want it to be a fast car by the end of the build? or you want it just to have fun when some ricer gets next to you?
are you like me that at the beginning said " oo ill just stop when i get to 350whp" and got used to the power so you want more? because if its like that you might want to change the pistons

good luck with your decision

Everyone has some high expectations for the car... but without adequate fueling no one is going to get these crazy numbers....

But oh well what do I know. I'm staying below 400whp for a reason!

Yeah pretty much. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy with my logic of "if i don't go WOT at every chance, then the car won't die!"

My goal when I first got this car was a little over 400, just a bit. Not 480, not 490. Reliable, fun, DD street car was my goal most definitely.

No lie when I had the SC my goal was 350 and then I'd stop lol, not with the tc
