smoked a tb SS !!!!!
okay guysss!!! this is not what i expected... but my friends friend has a trailblazer SS, full exhaust(catless), long tube headers, CAI, and tune. idk what else it had. and my 2010 cobalt SS (non G85)all it has is injen CAI and trifecta tune... we did a couple runs. i wish i recoreded it... i was by myself, he had 1 passenger(my friend). from a dig we are pretty much even, he is AWD so he pulls off the line a bit faster than me... but i stay about 3 car lengths behind him, but i dont go any farther back and after a while i was starting to creep back up and before i passed him we slowed down, (but i was catching up!! lmaoo) . and off a roll i smoke him easy.....!!! for the money i payed, and he paid... i am extremely pleased... also he is averaging 15 mpg, i am averaging 25 mpg... lol
~~~~~
EDIT
race was on a closed course
A stock TB SS can hit upper mid 13s. Sure it's a big heavy suv but still a fast ride for what it is. Also @ 90 mph the actual distance covered wouldn't even be a quarter mile. But no surprise AWD pulled a FWD car off the line. A Cherokee SRT though is so much better than the TB SS though as far as sporty suv those things are fast.
The TB can be a killer when the mods are set on "kill" (I have one in my neighborhood who's a complete sleeper - somebody you'll never want to meet at a stop light). It sounds like what it should have been - beating him on a roll, but getting edged slightly from a dead stop. Good job!
