So I need help

Im going to the stealership saturday for service and I need to see if anybody has info on these issues to arm me with.

1- When releasing clutch pedal it feels like its rubbing/squeaking
2-I hear a whine coming from the front end when taking off from a stop or slowing to a stop. This whine gets louder with exceleration and decreases with decelleration. It is still present in neutral.
3- Windows rolling slow
4- LR tire sensor malfunctions sometimes after car has been sitting and doesnt register until moving the car.

1. the clutch pedal is common, requires lubrication
2. possible wheel bearing
3. the windows are slow on our cars just the way it goes
4. the sensor is probably faulty and should need replacing. should be under warranty.

Hmmm possible wheel bearing for number 2? Not tranny or something?

The wine is a common thing.. They all do it. Im pretty sure it's just the way the transmission is setup. I may be wrong but I'm like the 4th person in my car club that has noticed this in their TC's.

any whine is not normal i don't care what anyone says, especially if it comes from the transmission. it means something isn't right whether it be damage to the gears, bad fluid or something else a whine is not normal

One guy from the club took his car in to have it looked at and they denied service and blamed it on his aftermarket downpipe.. If it's not normal than I'd really like to know what the deal is with this as well.

ya its just been my experience that any whine that comes from the tranny is not good. if its done it from day one then there is a flaw with the design. the only thing i personally would clasify as normalish is if the tranny fluid is still fairly cold it will give you a bit of a whine thats the only thing i would consider. also for a dealer to deny warranty because of a downpipe is a lil low on their part. i can see if he's got traction bars and upgraded axles and all that stuff but a downpipe thats just rediculous

yea.. i think its wrong for them to deny because of downpipe too. ive never really been concerned with the whine bc as far i thought it was normal.. but since i dont have an aftermarket dp then maybe ill take my car in to have it looked at.. lol

never hurts to have it looked at, just a lil bit of your time is all. i've driven in a few tc's and didn't notice a whine at all, you haven't changed your tranny fluid at all have you (to OP and white2010ss)

I have not and the car is 100% stock I just started noticing it for about the past 3000 miles. Its kind of annoying cuz i drive with my windows down. Also if I have to take off fast on a cold start the car runs like ass. Feels like its misfiring badly till warm.

My transmission whines too. it kind of of reminds me off the noise a gear drive makes but quieter. also makes a funny mechanical spooling noise when shifting from first to second gear.

Check ure t.b it'll increase sound as the rpms increase but with speed it would be wheel bearing. It will be a humming sound.

I remember mine doing it when it was stock. I sounds just like the gears meshing together. Every trans I had does that. I honestly had trouble hearing it, you got some sharp ears eric.

My trans is very noisy, I think the transmission is just very noisy to begin with in these cars. I get *clunk* *clUnK* when I shift, I get *whhhhiiiiiinnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeee* as I accelerate in first gear... its almost like a dog toothed gear box, lol.

my clutch squeeked too it may go away mine did.

i still have the whining noise at all speeds under the same conditions as you and dealership can't diagnose it until it gets louder... been doing it for 30k now...

my windows are fine but the motors are known to be slow

i had two pressure sensors go... warranty.

my car runs like crap until it warms up too that's normal. wait for the fast idle to go down before driving anywhere.

goodluck.

I remember in my brothers 99 Cobra he had years ago that as he would downshift or similar situations you could hear a whine, sounded kinda cool to me, but I was only 16 when he had it

Generally the trans whine can be associated with the gears meshing. A little noise is ok. If anyone here has driven a car with straight cut gears you know its really bad. I have driven a 63 impala with an M-22 4 speed and it had straight cut gears. It sounds like a freaking turbine jet engine is under the car.

I fixed my squeaky clutch with some grease. Use something strong, like axle grease or white lithium. Thin stuff won't cut it here.

Windows move really slow if you try to open or close both of them at the same time. Add the sunroof and it becomes even more slow. Let's not forget, at night, if the car is at idle and you operate both driver and passenger windows at the same time, the lights on the entire car dim

On a serious note, good luck. I'm taking my car in this weekend for some maintenance work and quality issues. This should be fun
