So nothing has been said......
If GM Overrated the car, then for example it would be putting down 200whp=230bhp. In that case their 260bhp would be optimistic, hence overrated.
I think there is a disconnect here somewhere. lol
It is confirmed that it is 260 to the flywheel. Ask anyone who talked with the GM Performance guys at the Midwest Meet and they will confirm that my statement is true.
I'm hoping to purchase an LNF....and hopefully by then someone will have a mailorder tune out that's reliable and won't have the motor run lean or maybe HPT will have the torque tables unlocked and I'll get a custom tune and when I get tuned I hope to have simple mods like dp and exhaust and be in the 320 whp range .....I'm just looking for reliability and fun and able to run high 12's that's all the expectation I have for the new lnf...if it can be a monster great, but, I just want mine in the 320 whp range......
It's hard to base a hp numbers argument over one dyno sheet . Wait till they come out and we get a more complete picture from different dyno's and different cars . You really can't take one dyno number and use it as gospel, good or bad.
exactly, just like they did with the 07 SS Supercharged on Speed Channel.. they took 3 SS and they all got about 196WHP... so as you said the 205BHP were definitly underrated... but until we see a similar test done on the 08 SS... it's not worth arguing.. lol
Do we care???....No we dont, 300whp isnt ****.....make 400whp and then come talk to us, the TVS blower can make 300whp easy with the right mods and tuning and probably will make 350whp with smaller pulley/meth and bigger injectors, the LNF HHR is the best model of the 2 cause it has room for a turbo swap, bigger IC piping and FMIC and a bigger intake, the cobalt does not. These cars are going to be like SRT-4's, they will make 400whp and still run 12's on slicks, they will be a joke once they get into higher power levels, just like any FWD car is, just not worth it too me.

Someone butthurt becuase they lost to a mullet mobile, and now wants to be barney badass oh-so-cool vette?
Hey there noob, too bad you didnt realize you bought the wrong model, should have bought the HHR so you can swap out the turbo and actually make some real power.....Hopefully your no-lift shifts f's up like the GM performance guy was talking to us about, hahaha...Bet some of you didnt hear that one!

how do you go from hhr ss to a corvette? you decided on a vette because its not fwd? the 300 hp increase or the 40 grand price difference shouldnt have any bearing on your decision. that rear wheel drive is a damn good selling point.
Im telling you guys, the HHR SS (Auto) was the best model to mod, a GM Performance engineer told me this at the meet....But he said the auto cant handle the power, but the 5 speed could. I also dont want a new vette, i want a used LS1 vette......Big difference in price. The HHR's are so nice, def love those things and cant wait for them to destroy the Caliber srt-4's.

why is everyone getting so butt hurt over the lnf, this is crazy, why try to compare the lsj with the lnf totally different drivetrains. ohhh and i thought this was a cobalt forum not a corvette forum.
400 whp,No problem. We will do that first and them market it as our stage 3 package.
300whp should be tune only but may require our highflow exhaust.
Glad to see our goals need to be slightly higher.
I was going over my time slips today and realized out of the 17 passes down the track,I actually ran a 14.61 @ 97 mph(HHR SS ...Not a cobalt). My 60 foot was a 2.4 on that pass.
I drove using the zero lift every pass with no issues. As stated earlier in another thread the launch control does not work correctly in my opinion.
I had a 2001 Z06 Corvette years ago - It ran low tens at 138+ mph on motor. Here is a video were I cut a .52 light to this guys .82 light, cost him the race and the record for fastest street car in texas 2005.

Ya 400whp can be made in the HHR SS!!! Now i like hearing this, I love those things, and was amazed when the GM guy told me they would be better for modding cause of more room. Nice Video too, thats why i want a vette!! Im going to look at a Red 2001 6 Speed Friday! Im not against the LNF, i just have seen too many 4's come and go with blown engines and slow times with alot of money and time into them, Im on my 5th fwd and im just done with it, I do hope the LNF whips the **** out of the MS3 and SRT-4's though! My .net days are numbered, haha......Good luck with the new Generation though!
Good point with the skittles, haha.....But i do believe the LNF will be a force to recon with in the HHR models when they swap the turbo and get the tuning done, hopefully. Only time will tell, but i do believe the LSJ's are coming to hault which does suck, Ive met way to many guys on this board that have worked so hard to help the LSJ community. I hate to see it all go crashing down.
