agreed. i think ppl are just making comments for the sake of "making comments" its one of those things where some ppl speak before they think. lol
- 260hp off the showroom floor
- trick suspension set up
- no-lift shifting
- bigger clutch
- Bigger Clutch
- and the BIGGER CLUTCH is worth mentioning as well (lol)
I love my car, but I also really like what the T/C's got going for it.
First guy who gets one in the Upstate NY area, let me know.
I want to check it out!

I will do this slowly.
Turbocharging usually yields lower IATs when set up with an air to air I/C.
Lower IATs mean less heat...hmm...I think everyone here is smart enough to figure the rest out.
All new suspension and some wicked brakes.
If aren't 'impressed' it is only because you are upset(like 99% of the SS/SC owners) that you aren't top dog anymore get over it.
So instead of being excited and supporting the growth and development of Cobalts...you whine and bitch and cry because you no longer have the fastest stock Cobalt anymore.
Awe.
Boo hoo.
Why must there be a segregation between all the Cobalt owners? I mean other than sheer stupidity, why is everyone so quick to put down something else and act like their Cobalt is better than somoene else's?
Being a Stage 2 SC owner, I can tell you that I'm pretty impressed with the T/C.

Thats all it is. I don't hate on the turbo Cobalts, I hope to see them out on the streets earning some respect, just like I have done with my SS/SC. I don't worry about not being the fastest, I haven't been beaten by another cobalt yet, so they will have some work to do to pull me. Competition improves your game, nothing wrong with that.

i think alot of ss/sc members are sad like you said that they are not the top dog anymore...remember the SS/NA shouldnt be a "SS" bashing we got..well maybe the SS/SC doesnt deserve the SS badging.
SS/NA=Sport
SS/SC= Mild Sport
SS/TC= Super Sport
Nah all three of us deserve the SS badge...cept Blake...he lost to Tom when he wasn't turbo...
Not really, thats like saying that the Evo 8 should have been downgraded to a Lancer Sport when the 9s came out. The SS/TC is the sucessor. Having 2 SS models at the same time, makes one higher than the other. Different case here. If they were building both the SS/SC and SS/TC at the same time, then I would agree with you, a lesser performing model should not carry the same badging, but older models dont change when the new model comes out.
indeed, blake should be perma banned from the site for lossing to tom, that and his horrible track time he ran /w the turbo

lol no way... ss/na = sport.. and wtf is a mild sport? lol that doesnt even sound as good as a sport.. i think the ss/sc definately deserves the ss badge.. just because they made somethin better doesnt mean it should take away from somethin they already made
read post above, i already know that, just putting it in different perspectives

You run my VIN.
Says I have an SS.
Chevy made that decision not me. I wouldn't care if it was called RS, Z24, piece of ****.
Making two different engines for the same car and labeling them performance...chevy did that with the orginal SS's.
I think the SS/NA deserves the SS badge as well.

I knew I wanted a turbo car.
If I had bought the LSJ, it would be turbo, but something about 2.4L and boost...got me thinking...
*cough cough*SRT-4*cough cough*
That doesn't look like ass.

in 07 the following shoulda had the badge
Cobalt SS/SC
Monte Carlo SS
Impala SS
Trailblazer SS
Silverado SS
i think thats all of them...
Yeah and that house/garage/driveway looks REALLY familiar. I think its the same car.
Monte/Impala - NO. It is nothing more than a V8 version, with 18" wheels. Same crappy suspesions, brakes, interiors, body parts, and so on. Not an SS to me
Trailblazer - yes - 400hp LS2, thats a real engine. Lowered, bigger brakes, 4.10 gears, increased cooling, fascia changes, interior trim different.
Silverado SS - pretty much an appearance kit. Could get a Vortec Max with the same powertrain, SS just adds body kit and interior, slight drop. Sorta SS, not fully.
Malibu SS was a joke, motor was the Impala V6. Gotta do better than that, at least boost the output. Honestly, the Malibu Maxx SS was a neat looking car and handled much better than a stock malibu, but thats like saying that something smells better than a bag of ****.
Thats how I feel at least.

all i will say is CTF stands for Certified Test Fleet. Its as simple as that, ppl who work for GM get the cars pre-production and test them out for the company then do write ups on them.
my best friends uncle did this for Ford. its like a dream job for every car enthusiast.
Ricer....
Cobalt - yes, it has different suspension, interior, brakes, body kit, powertrain than the base.
