No, I left it as is. Every time I turn the car on, the warning text pops up, I press the INFO button, it goes away and the little yellow warning light stays lit up. It doesn't bother me at all.

Hmm not sure how that sensor stuff works. I'm guessing you will have to do something so the car realizes it needs to monitor different sensors than before.

Glad to hear yours are working. Up here in the 'Bay we've been getting lots of snow, ice, and cold... The Gizlaved Nordfrost 5s I have mounted have been amazing. They've been biting harder up my steep driveway than the brand new Blizzaks WS-60s on my dad's 05' Altima 3.5SE.

Good snow tires FTW.

Recalibrate it.

This is done at the dealership with a special round magnet.

MUAHAHAHA, Secret tire reset procedure:

Alternate Keyless Entry Transmitter or DIC Learn Enable Method
Ignition ON, initiate the TPM Learn Mode using one of the following procedures:
• On vehicles equipped with keyless entry, simultaneously press the keyless entry transmitters lock and unlock buttons until a double horn chirp sounds indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.

• On vehicles not equipped with keyless entry, press and release the driver information center (DIC) INFO button until the TIRE LEARN message appears on the DIC display. Press and hold the SET/RESET button until a double horn chirp sounds indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.

Starting with the left front tire, learn the tire pressure using one of the following methods:
• Hold the antenna of the J-46079 aimed upward against the tire sidewall close to the wheel rim at the valve stem location. Press and release the activate button and wait for a horn chirp. Once the horn chirp has sounded, the sensor information is learned and the turn signal in the next location to be learned will illuminate.

Caution: Over inflating tires may cause personal injury or damage to the tires and wheels. When increasing tire pressure do not exceed the maximum inflation pressure as noted on the tire sidewall.

• Increase/decrease the tire pressure for 8-10 seconds then wait for a horn chirp. The horn chirp may occur before or up to 30 seconds after the 8-10 second pressure increase/decrease time period has been reached. Once the horn chirp has sounded, the sensor information is learned and the turn signal in the next location to be learned will illuminate.

After the horn chirp has sounded and the right front turn signal is illuminated, repeat step 2 for the remaining 3 sensors in the following order:
3.1. Right front

3.2. Right rear

3.3. Left rear

When the left rear sensor has been learned and a double horn chirp has sounded, the learn process is complete and the RCDLR exits the learn mode.
Ignition OFF, adjust all tires to the recommended pressures. Refer to Vehicle Certification, Tire Placard, Anti-Theft, and Service Parts ID Label.

Oh just spend 2 minutes at the dealership. That's the maximum amount of time it takes. We did it for free.

Driving back and forth to a dealership would take me ~20 mins not to mention the time spent there waiting to get service. Quicker to let air out and re-inflate.

Alright my snow tires are coming in tomorrow. Im a paramedic, and a part time mechanic, and Im at the shop tomorrow so after work Im putting them on. I got a set of Goodyear Ultra Grip Performance. They look like pretty decent tires, Ill post once Ive tried them out. As far as the TPMS go, Ive already had to relearn them once myself after rotating my tires (I was a bad boy and went through 4/32" on the front treads in about 4 or 5 months) haha o well. Anyways its very very easy to do...your manual even has instructions that are easy to follow.

I just put a set of SS/NA wheels on mine... There is like a finger nail between the rim and the caliper, MARIN007 is yours about the same? You have had no issues?

I drove around the block and nothing looks like its hitting, but man it makes me nervous.

Go. Buy. 3mm. Spacers.

Seriously. Go now.

...All kidding aside, you'll feel better if you run the spacers. Technically if your wheels are properly torqued on then they shouldn't move even that little bit, but I grabbed a little 3mm shim just incase.

Yah but therein lies the problem, wheels are on the car and it is supposed to snow tonight, and its sunday and I have no idea where I could pick up a couple of spacers...

PITA.

I have another set of wheels that do clear without a problem, but the dont have any tires on em.

It doesn't sound like there any rush. I got my setup from Steelcase Tires N' Mags in Thornhill/Markham (Steeles/404), including the spacers. Go find a set and on a nice day, put 2 on the front.

yah they are good guys there...

I just dont want to have to take the rims off the car, put the 18's back on worry about the snow tomorrow, then have to go through this nonsense all over again next week.

Looks like that might be my only option though. haha damn.

There's lots of guys, including one of my friends in town, running little to no spacing over the calipers... If the wheels are properly torqued you should be able to leave your winters on the car for a while. I only suggest the spacers when you have a chance to eliminate any fears.

My buddy is running Fast 18s for the winter and he has BARELY any clearance; no issues yet. Leave them for now, but get the spacers if you can.

Yah I think that is what I will do... I guess a few people are doing it, so surely it must be ok.

Thanks for the reassurance, appreciate it.

the sensors dont braodcast til they spin 20 mph or so. must be a centrifical switch in it, they dont broadcast all the time or the batteries would die too fast, they are suppose to last 10 years.

just outta curiosity what happens if the caliper hits the rim.... i mean is it a big deal. as long as its not stopping the car while its snugglin up against the rim it can hit the rim all day can it not?

Huh? You don't see how a solid piece of forged aluminum spinning at an incredibly high speed could cause a problem if it was making contact with another solid piece of metal?
