SS/TC vs C6 vette

I bought my ss about a month ago so far I only know of aftermarket charge pipes and Hahn 3" catback w/DP and maybe a tune but I dunno I've seen it push 18psi and I wasn't even peaking so I think it does but not 100% sure. The dealer had no idea if it was or not but Its a certified used car though, don't know how much mods cars can have to fail certification. ANYWAYSSS this c6 vette started messing with me and just took off, a car was in front of me so I had to launch behind him. He got over so I could catch up
Next to him and when I got close he took off again, got about 4-5 cars ahead but I quickly started gaining on him but before I could completely catch him he let off and I wizzed passed and he turned.

Anyone else race a C6 vette? Most likely a base model and stock, it was just some Old guy. And have about the same mods or just straight up stock? Just wondering cause if I can run with a c6 I'll start picking on all the old guys who drive them in my area lol

it would take about (depending on tune) fully bolted and tuned TC to keep up with a stock vette. They weigh pretty much the same as balts and will make about the same whp as a fully bolted and tuned balt.

prob is the stock tune also, stock ecu will adjust to make 260 all the time so one day it can be 13lbs next can be 19lbs.

I raced one.. He was in 3rd gear and I was in 2nd. He got the jump too and started pulling at 100 when we started slowing down. You can see where his headlights are at before we stop. Both cars are modded.

Cobalt SS Kn Short ram intake, Badmab 3inch catless downpipe, no muffler straight pipe. CX racing 600hp intercooler core. Trifecta tune 22 psi. 59 degree F Air intake temps.

goodluck. im thinking lazaro has about 25 more whp than me and his midrange is much more aggressive because of e85 and timing, so i wouldnt have a chance.

I've done pretty well with the LS2 ones. I can usually pull those. The LS3 ones are a bit of a toss-up. For the difference in HP on paper between the LS2 and LS3, those LS3s run really strong. They usually started pulling me on the top end. I haven't bumped into LS3 ones the last few months, on the ZZP engine, so I can't really report anything there. I'd like to though to get a bit of a before-and-after.

What even is the curb weight of the different cobalts? Wiki says 2815 lb - 3001 lb ~_~

Those vette should be all over 3150+ lbs. + the fat old man driving them.

I have a stock 09 SS, I have had vettes also. I would get another when I can. Just because us old guys may be a little fat does not mean we can't have fun too.

lol, its just a generalization ... just like saying the cobalt drivers are all 16 =)

But truth is, most cobalt drivers are likely to be on the younger side. And corvette owner to be a lil on the older side.

I mean.. I wouldn't get a corvette until I have a house and a garage to put it in - and thats not happening till im older no doubt.

I ran with one a while back and the balt did better than I thought. It was an older guy showing off to his wife. I was testing out my car when I got my old set of 245 tires on and did a pull alone from a dig to about 60-70 and I came up on him as I let off the gas. He romped the gas a couple times as I passed so we slowed to about 40 and we both hit the gas about at the same time and I may have been inching on him but it was pretty close to even until I shifted and took a leap on him where the front of his fender was at my mirror. Im not against him being a bad driver but that was my only battle with one.

I thought you were back on your Trifecta tune after you blew the turbo/motor or whatever?
