??SS/TC vs CSRT4??

ok so a buddy of mine has an srt4 and he texts me earlier wanting to know if i'd run his friend who has a caliber srt4. He says his buddy is all stock and so am I. He wants to do a 40 roll on the highway. We're both good drivers. The question is who would win? He wants to put $100 on it but i told him as of right now i'll do it just for fun. What do u guys think?

You should be able to beat him. I've beaten stock CSRT4's from both a dig and a roll.

Our balts have some pretty good pull in 4th gear. Just make sure you NLS between gears.

Stock for stock, I say the cobalt. Once you start modding them, they are pretty quick.

Get the Trifecta switchable tune and kill him and then if he thinks you are hiding something go to stock tune

Stock for stock, 40 roll , you by not much. 60 roll, him by not much. Thats if you both know how to drive.

And 1BAD thinks Dodge is garbage, not the CSRT4 itself.

1bad thinks whatever car he owns is Go'd child.

Christ, if he bought a 93 Sentra 2 door he'd rant and rave.

It'll be close...I mean I've seen some bolt on stage 2 SCs beat them...but not by much at all (half a fender ish)...it'll be close. There's a guy that runs pretty consistent low 14s high 13s at the track by me...trapping usually around 102... So it'll be close.

yeah i'm not gonna put any money on it cuz for all i know he has a tune and it may just look stock. I highly doubt he's stock seeing he's had that for a while, but then again he puts basically all his money into a nissan 300ZX he twin turboed. Did the CSRT4s come w/ a blow off valve cuz i know he has one.

If he has a tune you will lose and there is really no way to verify whether he does or doesn't by looking at his car. So don't go for cash. If he knows about cars then he knows stock for stock with the same driver skill the cobalt is faster and if he is still willing to bet money on top of that he is proly tuned.

I buy cars that are worthwhile, and I know have potential. I would never buy garbage like that.

Why do u think I got rid of my cobalt?

O SNAP!

stock for stock, you should creep away from him. The CSRT is boost limited in 1st-3rd ( which is basically 0-100 mph, ******* mopar ).

If you race from 100+, it would be a good race ( no boost limit in 4th, and 4th is a solid gear for them ). But from 40+, you will get him. 4th gear is where they shine most, which is why theyre a good highway car.

Roll racing for money is dumb. Period. Cuz someone's always gonna be bitching that you didn't honk right, or that you jumped, or wah, blah, wah.

But, it can be useful for good fun, as long as its kept to safe areas.

Ok well we raced the other night right after I got outta work. Like mkriebs said, the first run it seemed like he didn't even take off...that's cuz he said he "didn't hear the last honk" so we ran again and I beat him by at least a car and a half. He was cool about it, he didn't try and make any excuses he just said good race and that i got him and that my car is fast. All in all, not a bad night lol. Wish i put the $100 on it like he wanted to but oh well. Like they say, hindsight's 20/20.

thats hard considering stock the PCM limits boost in the first 3 gears and lowers power based on mods.
