yeah its pretty damn embarrassing when they are fully bolted and still get walked they are some cocky bastards too, first thing they say when they lose is how much better their interiors are
I raced a speed3 with only a K&N intake. He had intake, aftermarket top mount IC highflow downpipe, catback and a "mild" tune. From 70-135 we were dead even! Stock for stock, I think the SS would eat the speed3 easily... gms1 vs stock 3 = bus lengths..

AHAHAHA omg that was too funny and true. I can still pull my GTI card out cause i had one. The Ms3 does have shitty cheap interior, i'll stick with SS over that hideous wagon, that is not a hatchback.
Buddy has one, edged him out even though he had an intake (wasn't tuned I don't think).
He got annoyed, went and traded it in on an Evo X, and now he's like 450whp.

Raced one from a dig two weeks ago. I'd have to say it was bone stock I don't know other wise. My car was bone stock at the time. We went heads up with the flag and I beat him by four cars.
Funny thing is he was picking on my car. That my interior wasn't as nice. Blah.. He's right the interior rips ours apart. However, the car was designed for competition. It surely out performed the Speed3.

well this coming from someone who owned both of them!! i personally think the cobalt ss turbocharged is better pound for pound. theres fully bolted w/ GT3076 speeds running low 12s, zzp was able to get a stock K04 in the 11s!!! i do miss the interior and the auto AC from the speed, but im glad i went this route instead of getting the 2010 Speed 3.
i also raced a white speed 3 on the expressway the other day and pulled on him by 5 cars.. we pulled over at the Shell and i asked him what he had said he had Cobb Sri, StreetUnit TMIC, Cobb TBE, Cp-e upgraded fuel pump, Turbosmart BOV set to VTA, and a Cobb Protune. said he put down 312 WHP and 360 WTQ. when he asked for what i had he couldn't believe when i told him K&N Intake, Catless DP and a Tune!! i didn't mention it was and E85 tune though!!
