Stage 2 Forgotten?
Stage 2 Forgotten?
Has anyone heard anything about GM Stage 2 for the LNF? It seemed like GMTS was saying it would be out shortly but that was 6 or more months ago. I haven't heard anything on it since and after searching today still haven't seen anything about it.
Have they forgotten about the LNF stage 2?

There is most likely not going to be a stage 2. This has been discussed at length before. The cobalt, hhr, solstice/ sky LNF's are no longer in production. They aren't going to make parts for vehicles they are no longer making.
actually no. stage 2 was a lot more than that. it wouldn't pass CAFE standards. so the idea was scraped. a couple of the cars still lived.
at GMtunersource the intake was going ot be included in the stage1 kit, but then was said to be the stage2.
I have read nothing about not passing CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) standards...

Frankly I would not be too surprised if this brand spanky new K&N CAI became the stage2...
One thing I found interesting is that after cars are reflashed with the stage1, their paper work apparently says "stage 1 & stage 2"....
ok guess tuesday Ill have to head over to my local chevy dealer and price out the stage 1 kit.... sorry for the question... didnt mean to hijack the thread.... just trying to learn all i can......
IIRC the Stage 1 kit is ~$500
Comes with some sensors and a tune(reflash of the PCM)
I've had the kit for ~8 months and it was worth every penny. If you're interested, the part number to give the dealership is 19212670
GMtunersource.com has a bunch of articles on the stage kit. You might have to search around the site a bit, but they're there.
What I mean is, I can already be cruising in 2nd, and hit the gas and break the tires loose. I couldn't do that before the stage kit upgrade.
thanks for the advice... Im def gonna get it after I get my trans am tuned... just did ALOT of work to it and it had to take center stage for the moment money wise.... but def in july or aug Im heading over to chevy and havin stage 1 installed..... and yes guys I do need my warrenty... have 6 years on this so it matters.....
