1/4 miles= 13.5
0-60= 5.5 secs

Just my opinion though. It really depends on the driver to be honest with ya. Gm rated it 14.0 secs flat for 1/4 mile, i ran mine 13.72 stock. Anythings possible if you know what your doing.

I would guess our 0-60 would stay fairly similar since we are now going to have even less traction in 1st gear. As for the 1/4, I think with a decent driver it will be in the low 13's. We may see a few 13.0's. With drag radials or better yet slicks, I think 12.5-12.7 is possible with all the extra torque the stage kit is supposed to have.

12's woah your pushing it there arnt ya. This isnt a stage 3 kit now. Mid 13's would be a more accurate guess. The 0-60 will increase, not by much but it will depending on what brand tires you have and the condition of them. Not to mention the weather. I doubt if you lose any traction. Maybe after an upgraded turbo, tune, intake, injectors etc. it will hit low 12's

12's will deff. be possible. this stage 1 upgrade is going to make close to the same power my car made on just a tune. I have a thread in the lnf section where I go 12.73 hot lapping my car. the only other mod was a drag radial. the extra torque will deff make a diff.
tune and tires = 12's
stage1 and tires=12's

GM price in thier computer is listed at $650 for the kit....then add the install hardware and calibration (GM did not have listed prices for that yet) I thingt the kit would include everything but I had it looked up and it was listed seperately. I think it was enginecrate.com or something had it for sale already for $550.

the cobalt kit is not finished yet, HHR/Sky/Solstice are done and for sale now but the Cobalt because of the intake was delayed, we get a new intake with the stage kit, so the rumor goes......release date for the kit is expected by early spring 2009 if not sooner, it's winter now anyway, go easy on your balt.

i like the idea of a cold air intake coming with it. that should give more than 30 horsepower gain than the hhr and others had right?

It will have more Hp than the hhr and the rest but i dont think the intake is cold air. Im guessing it might just be short ram. Just like the SC, Cobalt base, g5 gt and base.

hell yeah 12s will happen with just the stage kit. whats his face ran a 13.6 STOCK! i bet you could get a 12.9-12.7 with stage kit and tires. and when that learn down is take'n off with the new tune. throw a exaust in there good intake SPRING MOD!! (j/k!) i would say 12.5's are within reach. and our car would be awesome from a roll. i bet a factory corvette would be a good race from a roll

i think someone would be crazy not to get the GM stage kit over any tune. Unless you have the money to clear any problems that might pop up. damn i love our cars. well no i just like 2.0 turbos! had a 1995 GS-t FWD when i was in highschool. all the mustang guys hated me back in the day.

If I'm not in the 12's after my tune(current mods in sig) I'll sell this car and buy $25K in tampons.

dunno about 12's. I could see low 13's. U have to remember driver skill here. Most are not very good drivers

i defiently think you would be in the 12's. i would be interested in seeing your dyno chart. you have to be over 300 hp right?

to pull 12's yeah. by the first couple of days in Jan I'll be about 310WHP and 350WTQ ft lbs. That is roughly 360 crank HP and 415crank ft lbs! Hahn FTW! I'll get a dyno chart as soon as I can.

This car is not going 12s being stock with a tune. Id say most cars will be mid 13s at 106-107mph with a few dipping into the lower 13s. This thing is hard enough to get a decent 60ft stock let alone having about 50 more ft. lbs of torque. Some MT drag radials and the GM tune could possibly run a 12.9

I think you're pretty much right on but with my mods (see sig)and my tune being done in early Jan.....I'm gonna be disappointed if I'm not 12's. Gonna take some serious track time with the HP/TQ #'s I'll be at and getting used to the totally different shifting at a drag strip compared to my SC.

PM me for pricing

I DO plan on upgrading the Clutch and have been reading posts trying to figure out the best to get. After surgery Jan 9 on my ankle I deploy to Iraq in maybe april and I think I might wait til I get back Dec 09 or the following spring as I won't be really driving it much deployed or in winter :P Likely half shafts too later on.

I'm curious to about the price you spent but I don't like to pry in peoples business. That's about what I want to do to my car in the next few months.
