Steering Wheel Upgrade

Street Coming Soon
Thinking of contacting this company. Do you guys think this will fit a cobalt same wheel but probably different mounting. It looks pretty cool if it would.

That's a corvette wheel shown in the example. Cobalts and corvettes share the same steering wheel. Logically, yes it would fit.

Looks like they make custom steering wheel to fit each car.

It might work. We'd just have to check to make sure the spline counts are correct.

Hrmm, that's pretty awesome looking!

As long as the cost is reasonable, I can see those selling very well around here. I'd be interested in one for sure. E-mail them and see what they say about the Cobalt!

It would be sweet if they could get a suede material going on it. Or a material like our seats maybe. It would sure feel nice on the fingers.

I gave them a call on my Lunch break today. In talking to them It will fit the cobalt but we do need to double check the spline count. They are pretty pricey $499 list and $175 add-on if you wanted alcantara suede. I talked to them about a group buy they would give us the jobber price of $375 and a add on of $131 alcantara. The person I contacted was Charlie Nyhus @ charlie.nyhus@acesteering.com. If anyone is interested I would be down for one let me know.

The Cobalt SS steering wheel is really god damn good. I wouldn't mess with it. It is the single best interior piece in the car.

Haha I would have to completely agree with you... but having it wrapped in alcantra would be nice. For that much though I would probably just have the stocker wrapped in alcantra.

Looks like you can still retain your airbag which is nice, I wonder if all of the steering wheel mounted controls will still work? It would be very nice to have a thicker steering wheel with a smaller overall diameter and a flat bottom

That being said, the 05-06 ones blow compared to the 07+.

I'd be down for a GB on this. The shape sold me. And you can retain your airbag and controls.

Looking at the site, the lack of prices, how everything just links to their info e-mail address, and the lack of design on the website itself...it just all makes me leery as hell of purchasing anything from them.

The domains were only registered a year ago, the one was done in the clear, the other one was done by proxy (yes, I know there are legit reasons to proxy register, but there's a TON of un-legit reasons too) and the whole thing just looks...shifty.
