it depends on temperature and a couple of other variables. the computer makes the car have 260 peak torque at all times, no matter the environment. i have seen them as high as 18psi stock

remember this quote: more boost does not necesarily mean more power.

Minds was boosting in that range as well with similar temp. I am glad I am not the only in 13 psi. With GMS1, 17-18psi only..

I've seen 16.8 psi with only 3 working cylinder. With all 4 working I average 15.

As far as I know the ECM can call for a maximum of 22psi from the turbo stock, though you'd have to be in insane heat at high altitude to see that.

Tuned doesn't count. Trifecta manually pegs the boost at a high level, whereas the stock ECM calls for whatever psi it needs to maintain 260bhp/260ft-lb. Right now, when the temperatures are way below freezing, I'm lucky to see 10-12psi.

However much pressure it takes for the ECM to see its desired airload at that time. Basically it depends on the density altitude of the air. My car was almost always right at 15 psi stock here in florida. On 30* mornings it was at approx 14 psi normally. Guage pressure varies but absolute pressure remains the same.

Before I had my stage kit installed I was putting out a consistent 17psi while completly stock, with my intake, and with both my intake and exhaust. now with the stage kit I'm runnin 22psi consistently. I also live in Florida, at 82ft above sea level. Now with the GMS1 and brand new Goodyear Eagle F1's second gear just start roasting the tires at about 40MPH all he way til about 65MPH. I love it.

High altitude? You won't get much higher than where I am. Over 5k feet. Before Trifecta tunning I was holding at about 18psi stock. Now, with the tune I hold at about 24ish. In 4th and 5th gear I hold 28psi.

My car was the first high altitude for Vince to work on (yay me)

Actually, this is technically true, there are a lot of circumstances where more boost would not mean more power (ie, creating too much compression in the cylinder and causing pre-detonation)

hahahahaha, not at all affraid. She runs fine. I don't normally push her to those limits because I get a bit of clutch slip. The Stock clutch just isn't build to handle that kind of power. And currently I just changed the plugs in the car and now at WoT it starts misfiring at 5k. *grumbles about ***** plugs*

Depends on the gear too, more load will make more boost. I was seeing 15 in the midrange and 17-18 above 5000 stock.

And Ive been running 28+ psi for over 10000 miles now without issue. More boost with the right tuning = more power everytime. I have dyno's that will show a small peak gain from running 28 vs 22 psi BUT it makes almost 50 more whp throughout the band!!! And Im sure with my latest tune it prolly makes a lil more peak then before, nothing too crazy tho.

Boost is a measurement of restriction 8). If you port the head and free up the exhaust it should show a drop in PSI because you created a more efficient air pump.
