is their anyway to take the gas from are tanks?

Most cars now have a float ball the blocks off the filler tube when gas isn't being added to stop people from siphoning gas. Maybe the cobalt doesn't have one but guess you could find out.

OP. Pull of the fuel line to the fuel rail. Hook a hose up to it and then to a bucket or jug whatever. Then with the ignition on have someone take the fuel pump relay out and then jump the terminals where the relay was to hot wire the pump. Easier than dropping the tank.

Exactly. I think when we did mine we ran it till there was about 1/3 of a gallon left, dropped the tank, made sure it was bone dry, then put the E85 in.
