Those with DEJON chargepipes with BOV WELD on chime in

question for those who have dejon chargepipes with BOV weld on.

what do i need to purchase here to have everything so i can install
http://cobalt.dejonpowerhouse.com/

my guess is
1) Complete Aluminum Upper Piping 3pc Set for Cobalt SS UIK-CBTA - $259

2) We weld on a Blow-Off-Valve Flange - $39 hks

3) Add a MAS flange so that the ECM correctly reads engine air when dumping an aftermarket BOV to Atm. This requires opening the cable harness cover to extend the MAS wires. MAF-UIP - $30
***************************** do i need this???

4) Optional Silicone Couplers and T-Bolt Clamps (instead of rubber and stainless worm-drive) - $59
********************* do you guys recommend this?

thanks a million.
carlos.

You need hptuners to modify some maf tables in the ecm when you move the maf to the ic pipe, otherwise you might have some driveability issues when you vent your bov to the atmosphere.
As for the silicon couplers/tbolt clamps, they're not needed but its nice to have.

I would get 1,2,4

#3 is optional you don't need it but it'll be better for the car. You can also buy a MAF extension instead of opening the harness up

If Vince will do the tuning then get it, also don't forget you'll need to properly block off the stock bov with a block off plate.

how about you just buy charge pipes, and leave the stock bypass valve alone... it works just fine for stock turbo applications.

Goddamn why is everyone so hell bent on a noise maker!

Sorry but if you guys knew the problems they are causing, you read about it every other day... and yet you keep buying them.

The car makes a noise when you let off the throttle stock.... I thought we were better than the SRT boi's with the sneeze mods. And then you guys are doing the same.

Serves ABSOLUTELY no purpose, except making your car run like ****!

Until you get the tune from vince, simply keep the hks bov unplugged and run the stock bov and the maf in the stock location.

No, the maf tables must be changed for everything to work. Simply plug the hole and run the maf in the stock location until Vince can play around with it.

I won't read a response to this as I barely care, but quit acting like you own a bare bone drag car or some sleeper race car. Your drive a cobalt. This is a car enthusiast forum, different people like different things. In short, **** off. Vented, recirculated, blow it in the drivers area for all I care, let ppl have fun with their cars you irritating lil pains.

I only heard mine for like the first maybe 3 shifts, first thing in the morning. After that, I never heard it...

Sorry about the delayed response...

I don't know if #3 is a waste, I'm by no means an expert on this. But I don't have it and my car is running fine...As for #4, I don't have that either. I'm pushing 22psi and I've never had any problems with pipes popping off. Thats just me though. And yes, I am venting to atmosphere...

Didn't know you had to have a race team to know a thing or 2 about cars, and as a matter of fact he does have a sleeper.. HE OWNS A COBALT! lol.. Most SS's tend to be sleepers due to vast majority of people's ignorance twords these cars. Not to mentions he's also a knowledgable tuner who tries to help as much as possible... I'm not looking to pick a fight here, but don't be an ignorant dick bro
