handling isn't the main reason people are getting rid of their cars. have you seen the inside of ours compared to an evo or sti??

have you seen the price difference between a new cobalt ss and a evo or sti?

whyyoumadson? 01-07-2012 06:50 PM

you shouldnt compare the inside of a cobalt to an evo because other then nicer seats the evo is a pile of shit inside unless you get an evo 10. an sti is the whole package, interior, exterior, suspension, the whole thing. the lnf cobalts are the best bang for the buck if you really wanna get down to business.

chris88z24 01-07-2012 06:50 PM

People are selling these cars because they fall apart after driving them for a relatively short period of time.

hydroturboss 01-07-2012 06:52 PM

Actually Matty.....I drove an EVO 10 and the seats were the only thing that impressed me as far as the interior goes.........

I did think that the dash or gauge cluster was anything special and u don't even get a goddamn boost gauge. In the EVO 10

whyyoumadson? 01-07-2012 06:54 PM

the evo 10 is an overweight pig with nice seats and a good motor.... evo 5 was teh best one every built.

MP Cobalt 01-07-2012 06:57 PM

dont like the sti interior or even the car, and i like the evos but i wouldn't sale mine for one, and all cars fall apart if you drive it like a moron

hydroturboss 01-07-2012 06:59 PM

Ya the acceleration was a let down and it was a brute to drive.......felt like I was driving a Challenger......so in all honesty I don't know what else the EvO has compared to the SS/TC

Seats......engine(but I think the LNF could match it)......build quality?????

Oh I know......4 doors

Dart_SI 01-07-2012 07:01 PM

cheap fast nice

can only have 2 of the 3

hydroturboss 01-07-2012 07:02 PM

^thia is so true

RooTBeeR 01-07-2012 07:04 PM

yeah, not everyone tracks their car...i'd love an evo but i wouldnt get rid of the balt to get one

Mine has 119k and is beat to shit every day. There are cars that are crap, but thats the sane with evos stis and all pther cars. I've taken care of mine, she takes care of me.

goeckeritz123 01-07-2012 07:11 PM

Chevy has never steered me wrong

rich3389 01-07-2012 07:31 PM

Lol every car has its problems.

hydroturboss 01-07-2012 07:37 PM

Drove both a 2011 EVO and STI and both cars let me down with te hype that I always hear about them.......I get more mind blowing acceleration with my modest SS/TC with a GMS1

nhanson 01-07-2012 07:41 PM

They didnt even count the cobalt as the same class as a evo, sti, etc.

The classes are separated by price, that's it.

I've got 60k on mine and its fine. The problem is stupid kids that abuse the hell out of their cars and can't figure out why stuff breaks.

Why would they? They cost almost double the price.

goeckeritz123 01-07-2012 11:02 PM

Only thing I've had wrong was my end links. The balt is definitely a performer imo

damastah 01-08-2012 12:19 AM

STIs have a pretty boring interior too, not the brand new ones tho..
my friends evo 10 is pretty boring too....

awd is nice, but then get a subaru legacy... has good awd, and amazing interior... and is pretty quick

and as far as i know, our LSD lnfs are not too shabby either... no AWD, but not far from it

ohh yeaaa, and thats not the evo 10, its the mr edition...

Mark Aubele 01-08-2012 12:20 AM

They do a Lightning Lap every year, they have tested the Evo 10 in a couple different configurations.

Wangspeed 01-08-2012 04:56 AM

I've surprised countless cars on that very same track. I get the pleasure of running the normal VIR full confit and then once a year being able to run the Grand East config like they do for the Lightning Lap. It is rarely open for track days.

I'll say that a time of 2:13 on the Grand is smokin hot. Like crazy fast, but it better be with a Pro driver. Me? I have to cheat a little with a modded car. Down to 2:07s durin the last outing ;)
