De-mod as much as you can. Thr trans is going to be covered under your 100k powertrain. Just dont jump down there throats. I work at a GM dealership and i see it first hand everyday. I watched someone freak out on the shop supervisor about warranty work and it didnt get done. Same car came in with the same problem a different day and the guy was calm, nice and his car got warranty work done.

I'm assuming. Im just making an educated guess, since I know they send signals to each other for that kind of stuff, it there is a break in the loop, or bad communication, I can see how that stuff would be effected.

Dealer: Oh, the failure was caused due to your aftermarket clutch
You: What? I thought it had the stock one!

I hope you didn't take my last post the wrong way .... I didn't mean to sound like I wasn't on your side in this .......... In my opinion ...... sticking with GMS1 when you could have a more powerful tune, should get you the warranty work you need . You shelled out good money for the stage kit just to keep your car under GM's warranty.....so they should take care of you.

your DIC isn't reading anything probably because your tranny is messed up. Some cars have a speed sensor on the transmission that measures everything.

And if your dealer doesnt cover it you'll be looking at at least 1500+ for a new trans plus labor for install. Just as an FYI. De-mod your pipes and you might be able to get it covered.

Thats one of the main reason i have stayed GMS1 for now.

That is what I was thinking too that it could all be linked together.

Hmm.. Didn't think it was that complicated, let me try again....

If you have an aftermarket clutch and you don't get the idiot mechanic that doesn't know what a stock clutch looks like, then good luck getting a transmission replaced under warranty.

Did you tell them you have an aftermarket clutch when you took it in, or are you just betting on them not noticing?

I'd be surprised if they warranty your trans with an after market clutch on there. Instead of the clutch being a weak link and slipping you made the trans the weak link and they don't slip.

Hoping they don't notice

We'll see what happens I've gone to this one with my supercharged balt and never had a problem

I told them I had the GM stage 1 installed by a Chevy dealer

What happened to the stock clutch? Lots of people had more than gms1 power and still on the stock one.
