tranny shift cables

I read to remove computer then fuse box from under hood is this correct
I cant figure out hoe to remove fuse box-did get plastic lid off it and remove 19 mm pwer cable.

I also removed 7mm screws on fuse box PCB, but thr pcb still would not disconsolate from cable connectors below

Can you then see heat shield on exhaust to bend and remove cables

What exactly are you doing? If you are removing the tranny shift cables to replace them. There is no need to remove the fuse box. Its pretty easy to het at them without taking anything out.

I found it easier to remove the fuse box. But you essentially have to disassemble the whole fuse box. It's not fun to put back together. Just takes time and patience.

You need to take the cover out and remove all the fuse blocks (unsure of the actual name).

leave the fuses and relays where they are at. you do not need to touch them

- take off the air intake tube that attaches between the supercharger and the filter box.

-pull off the black plastic lid of the fuse box

-unscrew the 6 or 7 mm hex head bolts on the fuse box. theres 5 or 6 of them. the bolts wont come out completely, but will unattach the fuse box from the wiring blocks.

- pull up on the top portion of the fuse box and it will come apart from the bottom where the wiring blocks are.

-pull the wiring blocks out of the black plastic housing and push them out of the way.

-unscrew the bolt on the coolant housing stud that is holding the fuse box housing as well as two bolts below it near where the air intake runs. then the housing should come out of there

This an LNF and I poped the lid off the fuse box with latches on side of top off box and the wiring blocks connectors came out under/with the fuses. They were still all connected via connectors to fuse pcb.

Now you look down in there and yo just see a black plastic box.
there are what looks to be 2 13mm bolts on front of that plastic box. + a bolt holding the coolant reserve down.

I'll try and get a picture later

If u want to make the job easier, remove the downpipe because the cables go through the firewall right above it. Unless you have small hands and patience, do this because the heat shield will be in the way too...

Ill put in my 2 cents. To take off fuse box. Take off 10 mm nut by coolant overflow, then there is one by the post of the fuse box on the side. Open fuse box and loosen all the little 10 mm bolts that sit in by the fuses. Then on either side and on top side of the box, non on ecu side, there are plastic clips that hold the top part of the fuse box down onto the bottom part, use a flat screw driver and gently unclip while u pull up on the box. Once that is done the top will come off , turn it over and remove all the terminal blocks, some are stubborn, just pull on em, but make sure those bolts inside the fuse box are all the way loose, that won't come out but ull know when they loose. After u got the top off, set aside. Pull ecu, there are 2 13mm bolts on the fender side on that ecu bracket that is part of the fuse box, remove them and pull out bottom part of fuse box. There u go, all done.

Only if you know the bolts will come loose. You might be better off not touching it.

Thats very true. I didn't replace mine myself because I knew it would be a headache but my transmission guy didn't remove the down pipe and couldn't get that nut back on the heat shield because there's no room to work

How do you get cables through firewall, I now have them detached from transmission.
What direction do they go to remove toward transmission or inside car.
What is downpipe.

Pull them out from the bottom. It's just grommets.

It's very very straight forward.
