Tuner in SoCal

I'm lookin to tune my lnf. Anybody still tune is Southern California. Got a tune from some tuner and I wasn't satisfied. Tuner never tuned a LnF before and I wasn't pleased with my numbers. What's up guys. So no one around my area can tune my cobalt. But I found this guy who tunes cars and has hptuner. He tuned my car but I was a little disappointed in my numbers. 284hp 385tq spikes at 23 tapers to 20. Mods on my car: injen charge pipe. GMS1 map sensors. 3" catless down pipe. Muffler delete. Mpx intercooler. Forged bpv. 91 pump gas. Those numbers seem correct?

If you don't find anyone local, I am in Phoenix, AZ. Would be worth the drive out here if you can't find a local guy.

And your numbers don't seem bad. Torque seems high, maybe he has boost spiking too hard down low. Top end power could be more on 91. Some boost taper is somewhat normal, but seeing as he's never tuned an LNF before he probably didn't adjust pressure factor tables. Who knows what he did, honestly, if he's never tuned an LNF before.

I assume you are talking Dynojet numbers?

Hey caulk, what part? I might want some tuning done too. DreamSS, you own that ss in the pic? I'm the guy with the white ss sedan. I got k&N CAI, and a zzp downpipe with the zzp canned tune and put down 305hp 339 ft-lb tq. You can definitely get more out of yours with a proper tune

Should be able to get some more (10-20 depending on how good the 91 is), and at least get the trims in check. I'm sure the canned tune is not aggressive what so ever in the timing area

Nice.

305/339 on 91 as a conservative set up is encouraging news.

A lot depends on the fuel too, if it's crappy 91 or 93 then you're hosed without spraying methanol.

there is a socal group on facebook called socal ecotecs. you may have better luck finding someone on there. Also you can remote as well, find a tuner of your choice and find someone local with HPT and tune that way.

Simply owning HPTUNERS doesn't make someone a tuner. They will sell the hardware and software to anyone, regardless of experience.

I believe the original poster is looking for someone with lots of experience in tuning the type of car he has, not just someone with the hardware.
