Wet pants
Hey all,
I know this might be kind of weird but since its snowing here, my floormat is always wet. I have the weather tech mats and they work awesome at keeping the water in. Now my problem is, every time I go for a drive, my gas pedal foot pants get all wet at the bottom. Now I usually wear dress pants to work so I get to work and the bottom back on the pants are soaked and when they dries up, it turns white and does not look good on black pants.
Now I have the seat all the way back since I am like 6'0 tall.
Anybody else have this issue and if so, what do you do to fix it? I have been driving with my pant leg wrapped around my knee but that can't be the final solution so any help would be great.
Thanks

Rolling my pants up is ok with jeans but try that with a suit, it wrinkles and looks like ****, also my dress pants are sized properly but they do hang down with I drive.
I do tap my feet before getting in but its still wet from the bottom of the feet. I wanted to make sure it was happening to other people as I dude I know with a G5, well it doesn't happen to him.
So no fix for this?

Turn on the a/c with the heat on the floor. And move the seat forward. I am 6'4" and don't need the seat all the way back due to my arms not being comfortable. Your legs will be at a more upright angle that may help keep your pants out of the slush.

Hey all.
Thanks for the replies. I would go to a cloth mat but I hate my floor being wet for 6 months a year while its winter as the floor never dries.
I guess there is no fix. I have tried to move the seat forward a few clicks but then I am way to close to the wheel but I guess its better then nothing.

if you wear boots why not just put your pant legs in your boots? Or if you don't, this may sound retarted, but what I do is take a couple pieces of string and tie the bottom of my pant leg(around my calves). Then before I go in anywhere, I cut/untie the string, bingo bongo I have dry pant legs.

lol no thanks. I don't want to have a sore back by the time I am 40 because of hard hands on work
I do use paper towels but with my mats, the water isn't going anywhere.
I don't wear boots, I usually wear dress shoes and yeah I can tie it up or fold it up but then it leaves creases in the pants and I don't walk around with an iron.
Guess its just a shitty part about owning a cobalt

I can't believe nobody's suggested this:
You'll say WOW every time
But really, no. No great suggestions.

tuck your pants in to the back of your shoe, when you get out, yank your pants up and they will come out, but it sounds like your dress pants aren't the right size for you lol

maybe the main problem is your not driving the right kind of car. I would just go out and buy a new suv or lac for drin\ving back and forth to work. Bam problem solved. Your welcome.

Right, because I wear a suit, I need to buy a SUV which eats gas. Good idea but I am not filthy rich.
