I had KY Clutch put in about month and half ago and for the first 500 miles i have went out of my way to break it in.....after even 1000 miles it isnt holding my Trifecta 22 psi 91ucoctane tune! What Clutch is better??? my limit is $850. I dont know if i want to try another KY.... what are you guys have for clutches on ethanol....i havent got to run my car on ethanol yet!!! the tune is just waiting, i'm not going to put it on a slipping clutch. any suggestions please....Thanks!!

I've never heard anything bad about the spec clutches. Say stage 3 or 3+

I ran a SPEC Stage 2+ for two years on their LW Flywheel. Held 360whp /410 wtq. just fine. I wouldn't do a LW FW on the LNF again though but the stock FW dowel holes need to be machined to 12mm iirc unless they updated the SPEC PP.

IDK. Havent looked in a while. Best thing would be to call/email them. Could just be that their supplier is out.

Sounds like you glazed the clutch from poor driving?

Edit - Could be glazed from the clutch dragging due to not being bled fully/properly as well.

Possibly, but not from me, i know the proper break in procedure...the thing that worries me is the tech that test drove the car after the install said it would slip in 5th gear going 70. which no **** it does, thats not good on a clutch even if it doesnt slip..

I would try calling them in the morning and tell them what's going on and see what they say..I heard they had pretty good customer service

I'm thinking that cause you have problems with yours and a 1 year warranty, they'll just send you another one, but could be wrong

I'm happy with my specc stage 2+

Clutch isn't that difficult to do unless you don't have the tools.

Definitely sounds like the hydraulics need to be bled more then. If this is the case, the clutch had most likely been dragging and is glazed. Do a search on how to.

KY is the best, I got the stage 3 ZZP kit had the KY clutch installed 3,000 miles later my tranny blows up I talked to Kris the ower at KY he says to me ship me back your clutch sense it is out again and I will change out the pads for free and check it over HE even shipped it back to me no charge they are great (solid clutch tranny will give before the 6 puck does)

yeah ive driven stock, zzp, exedy, KY, centerforce, and spec clutch cobalts. and the zzp by far is the easiest pedal travel. it really does feel like stock.
