so i found a lot of info on the 2008 cobalt ss...but not the 2009. RPD unit seems to be a little different as far as display and gauge choices.

what do i need to know about my 2009 cobalt ss? i know i love it, thats for sure!

how much power is it putting out? same as 2008? about 260hp give or take..probably take

anyways, all the info i've found has been really for the 2008, just want to know if there are differences i should be aware of.

 

LSD still optional, RPD standard, Same power, High wing gone for 2009. Spare tire optional, inflator standard. Sunroof standard. I may have missed a few.

 

^This is for 2010. In 2009 RPD, High wing, spare and sunroof are all optional. The power levels are the same. The only option in 2010 is the LSD. Also in 2010 the high rise is gone and so is Rally Yellow

so anybody know why the RPD customization is different?

 

During the last year of production of a car, there are often extra parts in inventory that they try to finish off before the run out of use for them. They've apparently got a bunch of RPDs they want to use up and they probably won't be able to use them for anything else. That's also the reason that all 2010s will get black radios. They had a bunch of black radios leftover and they already used up the last of the silver ones.

For instance, the 2002 (last) year for the last Camaro, you could buy one and never knew what you'd get. Some came with LS6 parts in them while others didn't.
