What is normal temps?

Just curious, what are most people seeing as normal operating temps for city and highway driving. I am seeing 205-220 in the city and 185-195 on the hiway. Is my city temps normal?

Yep everything is within spec.

Anything above 230 might be a cause for concern. But the fans will keep it below 220.

My fan is always on so my temps are consistently 175-195 once warmed up. Iirc on the stock tune or configuration the fans aren't set to come on until 220 so it makes sense that you would see that temp when airflow from moving down the road is minimal.

They start to roll in on the LNF a lot earlier than the L61. But the temps the OP is witnessing is normal for an LNF

The fans come on earlier? Do you know what temp and is it progressive like 1 fan comes on at certain temp and both fans come on at higher temp or when AC is on?

If you don't change them in HP Tuners they are duty cycled by temp.
I just added an SS Fan assembly and it is easy to wire the 2 fans to operate like OEM

I'm not sure how it related to the two fan system on the LNF, but in hptuners we have access to fan desired% vs ECT, it starts at 200 and ramps from 6% to 55% from 200F-221F then at 225 it goes to 85%

As far as I know all the thermostats are 185 F. The HPT settings I posted above were stock. Our water pumps don't move crap at base idle speeds. I have raised my idle, installed a new pump and set the fan settings to come on sooner in summer stop and go Interstate driving. I set them back to stock already.

Stock for a LNF or LE5? The fan settings are different between the two, the numbers I posted (work comp doesn't have hptuners and hptuners computer isn't connected to work wifi) were from a stock LNF file out of the HPT library

LE5 / Example only of how the fan is duty cycled across the engine temps.
