I don't know, but yesterday I was launching at 2750 with the pavement around 65 degrees and I was squealing like a bitch.

I launched at the same rpm number last weekend in MD when it was 92 degrees outside and I got better traction uphill then I did yesterday on a flat surface.

I think it all depends on the road temp.

I'm also interested in this as well to see what other people have experimented with!

if your drivetrain is stock anything over 2800 you will get massive wheel hop. unless of course your at the track and you just burned those tires down got em nice n hot.

i like to launch at 2000rpm and get the clutch grabbed in 1st and then give it like half pedal then shift at like 5000, because i noticed if you full throttle it once you hit 5000 rpm in 1st it spins the tires. so i shift around 5000 and then full throttle it in 2nd,3rd,etc. Our peek TQ is supposed to be at like 2000 anyways. As for traction i think its because these stock tires suck. Im getting Goodyear Eagle GT tires there at least a little better then the stock ones and there mega cheap on discount tire. only 450 for the set of 4.

I'd say between 2000-2500rpms would be best, but you still should experiment. If you plan on drag racing once in awhile and trying to get the best time possible, I would invest in a pair of DR's for the track.

It's not just the rpm launch you should be worried about. If using the launch control then let it decided. If your a good driver and using the driver mod then you'll have to experiment with RPM, lifting if needed, and throttle position. Track conditions and tire's play a big roll with this...

Go to the track and find the right launch... of course it'll vary as temp., humidity and track conditions vary

true, definately would want to drag with the stock tires with a tune though, youd have to launch below 2000 lol otherwise youd burn them right up lol. Id say for those who have there car tuned or what not, to consider getting a better/stickier tire.
