I plan on blowing my next pay check on my turbalt bu ti dont know what to buy exactly.
Im thinking gsm1 but im not completly sure, where is the best place to buy it from at the moment? and how much have yall paid out the door?
I also want to make my car louder i have a muffler delete but its not all that loud i feel like when i rev it its more engine noise than anything besides the occasional backfire or 5 lol.
so basically im just wondering what you guys would reccommend getting first on my car its pretty much stock besides the muffler delete and k&n drop in
ive also debaged the back and smoked the light so im debating powder coating my rims so my car is murdered but i dont know how much that runs either. input please

OP, downpipe, trifecta tune, and maybe an intercooler or some piping! you could def get the DP, tune and piping for under a grand, but if you throw in the IC might be a little over budget. Let us know what you get!

thanks for the input jmfselu, im just really scared to go trifecta and have some sort of shitstorm happen with my motor and be fucked if GM denies my warranty, i think i might just try to get gsm1 and that side exit exhaust. i just dont know how much gsm1 is gunna be out the door and i know id be happier with trifecta bc the price and power i just dont wanna break my car and have to go ask my parents for money because i fucked up lol

Generally speaking on a naturally aspirated engine you want nice long smoothly bent headers for good flow... on a turbo car, the turbo is what causes the backpressure, not the headers... so the answer is to increase flow after, catless does this nicely, just get a catless downpipe, k&N drop in and a HP tune for E85, you will pass most smog emissions controls just fine. As long as you don't have to undergo a visual inspection. All that should run you under $1k easily.

I said that too until I was tuned for it... If its less than like 15 minutes away its worth going out of your way in my opinion. Or at least get a tune for E85 so when you have to smog it you can run the E and pass the sniff test, if thats how they test in Texas.

I'd go ZZP downpipe and Trifecta tune, as stated previously. If you're really worried about your warranty, but a second ECU and put the 18/22 PSI Trifecta tune on that. If you have any warranty issues and need to take the car back in, just put the stock downpipe and ECU back in. That's about a 30 -minute job.

Well I would say catless if you can tune the car to pass a obd2 test since that is what they use in Houston otherwise go catted. I know the gms1 was goingto be $500 from a local chevy dealer plus.install. you can get it cheaper online I think it was $485. I would have had the tuner that did my TA with HP do the cobalt but the gms1 is what I need to keep my warranty according to a few techs I talked to. depends a lot on the dealer on what they let go under warranty .

Well, now you can save all kinds of money. You can buy Broke's ECU with the GMPP tune already on it, buy the two 3-bar TMAP sensors from Turbo Tech Racing, and BAM, you have the GMS1 for $350.
