^^^^ why would you want an intake if they have proven to do nothing and even rob horsepower? You're one of those "I wanna hear the turbo" guys aren't you......please don't tell me you want a "blowoff" valve too.....

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lnf-performance-tech-153/08-09-cobalt-ss-tc-gt3076r-turbo-swap-coming-soon-136153/
As many of you who have been following the thread in 2.0 turbo know, it is the complete hardware nessicary for some serious power. This turbo upgrade will get you to at least 450whp before it runs out of breath.
So far our test mule has shown a 90Ft/lb advantage over the stock turbo at trq peak w/stock boost pressures with NO OTHER MODS!
The powerband for this turbo is 3300-8000+
I would expect the HP peak to be around 7200rpm
Ideally you should use a 3" or larger catback for maximum power, however Im still running the stock exhaust on our mule. (it is starting to get restrictive though, couple psi up top.)
GB $2949 + shipping
Kit consists of the following:
1)Ball Bearing Garrett GT3076R w/custom Tial SS housing in your choice of A/R
1)Mild steel Catless downpipe (v-band no gasket at the turbo to leak)
1)Black 38mm Tial wastegate w14.7psi spring
1)Bosch recirculator valve
1)4" intake pipe with enourmous cotton-gause filter (for C6 vette)I rest my case
2)6mm oil drain bolts
1)6mm drill bit
1)braided oil feed line
2) 4" hoseclamps
1) Garrett turbine speed guage/datalogger kit (part #781328-001)
your choice of color in powdercoat on the intake and compressor housing
1)pre-addressed box for your PCM to be shipped to Wester's Garage for the GT30R hotflash. Sold seperately. As of 8/1/08 Wester's garage will handle the entire electronic end of our stage kits.
After the group buy is over, the kit will be availible thru New Era Performance parts and other fine vendors for $3399.95 With or $3039.95 without garrett turbine speed guage

chill out broseph. Unless you're running components like that, that intake WON'T help you with stock components. Don't try and point out one thing in a kit and think it'll make the car run better.

Shocking...another useless thread about intakes. Can we all pretend for a hot minute that there are other parts for the Cobalt that can improve performance?
Next we'll be seeing "Which CAI should I get for my SS/TC" threads pop up all over the place like they did with the SS/SC.

What would u know? Did you design the kit? You said a 4inch intake wouldn't help the car, i pointed out that your wrong...............nowhere did i post that ONLY the intake would help, so, as nicely as i can put this, ummm goto hell, thx for playing again, better luck next time son.

no dood, u need to sit down, smoke a phat one and realize i'm not an *******. I'm not even putting a K&N drop in filter on my ss/tc because i know it's worthless without a tune and can even cause the car to drop to limp mode...........i've been all over the ss/tc threads for 3 months now, ever since i ordered my 09 ss/tc. I'm holding out for a GMPP tune and if i'm lucky they'll have a 4inch intake and 3inch exhaust to go with it, maybe if i'm really lucky a new clutch too............yea lotta money but will be definately worth every penny

im with u on intake
as for exhaust the 2.5' stock exhaust on our T/C isnt the major factor its the DOWNPIPE
dynoes have showed that 3'cat backs are almost POINTLESS to have because you are paying 600 dollars for 5whp and sound?
as in a intake u pay 200 for sound
