These are some serious bragging rights.....Cant wait to see who wins??....Would be fun to compare the time difference between the 1st American to get one vs. 1st Canadian!!!

I was going to buy one of the first ones they had at my dealership, but I decided to get a work truck instead, & get a 2009 SS/TC Coupe in October (Or a helluva good deal on a 08).

usually the coastal cities are the first to get the new cars, but i still haven't seen one (looking in the lot of my former employer who was selling like 3 ss s/c's a month) i imagine they would be among one of the first dealers to get one (around here anyway)
Has anyone heard of an ss t/c sitting on a dealers lot somewhere?
I saw an ss t/c HHR already.. it was pretty nice i guess, but i just dont really like the HHR bodystyle. plus he wouldnt race me so he got -5 points.
that would be mighty cool of you.

Id rather wait for an '09 with the reconfigurable performance display...increased MPG (35) and let Gm work out some of the kinks first!!! Also hoping for the black graphite wheels as an option for '09...

Yes that is correct about 67 a day and 402 per week with over 4500 orders. As of now there are no special customer orders you can't buy a vehicle without a vin, just can't so all of these orders are from the dealer and i believe that is the way the production management sees it, the dealer buys the vehicle first then you buy it once the dealer has an invoice and a production status of 3800 which means the vehicle has been made. my ss/tc at the moment is at status 3300 which means it has a date set that it will be made.

So, they have 4500 orders already and at a rate of 402 Turbo builds per week that would put any orders recently submitted 11 weeks out. So, it all depends on how early you got your order in. I asked others in this forum to list the order dates as well as the dealers ifo. on the build date of their CobaltSS.

Though not sure if orders are being accepted right now. Though they are kicking ass on getting these cars made, gotta give it to them, even with the american axle strike and low stock being caused because of the ss sedan they are doing a good job.

No they didn't increase production numbers, but all i am saying is they went from making 2-4 pilot cars a day to 1 in 100, to 1 in 45 to 1 in 15 in what 2 weeks, that is impressive they are really working hard. Hopefully i will get another update today or this weekend though.
