Drewbroo had his ECU sent to GM with a complete stock tune on the car and they found the tune, but odds are the dealer wont go that far unless you really break something big like a 4 cylinders or something sketchy like that.
I have never seen said TSB. I have access to Alldata and haven't seen a single TSB related to tunes. This would fall under a Warranty Manager and techs don't have access to their information or else I'd be on here telling you their information.

I've left my HPT tune on for multiple trips to the dealer. They've never questioned anything. Now I'm sure if I had blown my motor or done major damage or something that would warrant an investigation into my ECU, then I'm sure they would've looked into it and found it whether I flashed my ECU to stock, swapped it out for an unmodified one, or whatever other trickery I could pull. But I'm more than willing to pay for whatever damages I cause. Odds are, you're not going to blow your motor and warrant a search for a tune or modifications. They're also not going to send your ECU off to GM to check for a tune for a leaky sunroof or a warped rotor, catch my drift? If you aren't prepared to pay for whatever damages a modification could potentially cause, then don't modify your car. Your carelessness is not GM's responsibility.

I have the selectable tune, have had it for about 20,000 miles so far. I have it set on my Trac Control button. With traction control on by default, it runs the "stock" tune. However, Vince cleaned it up some I think because it stays at 15psi until close to redline then it hits 19. If I put it in Comp Mode I get 24psi and have to hold on. If I mash the pedal in second or third I get lots of wheel spin. Once you get used to how you need to drive it, it's great. In the 20k miles I've had it I've had no other issues, just stunned looks from some of the cars I've embarrassed that didn't think they had to worry Other mods? None, just appearance/rims/tires. CAI coming this spring though. It cost me $300 Vince emailed me the tune and the ez flash program and mailed me the cord. Took all of 10 minutes. Best bang for the buck I've ever seen.

Yeah, I agree about paying for whatever damage your modifications may cause. Clearly it's not GM's responsibility if something breaks due to a modification of their original design. My concern was more having other warranty work voided if they found out about it. However, like you said, unless it's something major like a catastrophic failure caused by the tune I'm sure they'll honor other warranty stuff. To be honest I think my dealer might fix it even if they did know, theyve been real cool so far.

Thread revival!!

Okay, I kind of let the whole idea of getting Trifecta'd go by the wayside for a while, but lately Ive been seriously thinking about it. Ive had the SS/TC 3 1/2 years now, with GMS1 for over 2. The bug is kind of starting to kick in again and Im thinking about more power. Not only would I like more power, but I now have a catless DP, so tuning for that would be a big plus as well.

What Im wondering now is what kind of possibilites are there with tuning on top of GMS1? Also, I had the Dejon SRI on my car for a while but that F***s everything up so I had taken it off. Would that be something worth putting back on if I tune, or should I just stick with the stock airbox and my catless DP?

Also, anybody with any reviews good/bad on their experiences with Trifecta that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

EDIT: Kidcrash, if youre around at somepoint Id definitely like to check out a Trifecta car in person

I plan on data logging at the dyno.

The place where I dyno'd my Vette also dyno'd my brothers Challenger SRT8 after we put the Procharger on. HHP wrote a tune for him and we basically did the same thing... did a pull and emailed the data, HHP tweaked it and sent a revised tune back, we did another pull etc... until it was maxxed out..... he made 532whp/510wtq lol.

I'm trifecta tuned, an I've liked it since I got it(maybe... 5-6 months ago..?) But now I'm wishing I would've saved the money and gotten a better tune, you'll get that power bug again soon.. trust me

I can take care of whatever you need, even if it's just taking my car for a spin.

I have the dejon SRI, dejon chargepipes, and a catless dp.

On this tune with a stock dp I dyno'd at 289/320 last summer. This summer on the catless dp and the tune just updated to delete the related cat issues, I dyno'd on the same dyno in similar weather conditions at 297/350... So the catless dp gave me 8whp and 30wtq!

I'd like to know what you mean by a "better tune". Trifecta is as good as is gets! Sure somebody with HPtuners could make more power, but so could Vince, if he just chose to ignore his self imposed safety limits.

Go with Trifecta, get a Tatrix Cable, then get an E47 or E85 Tune. You will not be disappointed.

FYI, with Bolt ons once you hit 6K in 4th you will likely run out of fuel with the E85 Tune.
I have heard that without Bolt ons, you will be fine.

To tune or not to tune

Exactly what I was thinking, I waited to get my tune due to warranty so just wait if someone is scared of voiding the warranty don't do it than. Bc like everyone else said it's cost money to play!!

I don't know anywhere in NH or Mass where someone can get E47 or E85... maybe there is more places in Mass but I haven't seen any in NH.

Yeah, I actually made a post on this recently. There is 1 place in eastern MA that I know of and its in Chelsea! I try to avoid Chelsea as much as I can, and I certainly dont want to drive there every time I need to fill up! lol
