2 small problems (HELP)

1st - For the past few months it seems as if my 1st gear is harder to get in. This doesnt happen all the time, but sometimes. When I'm sitting still at a redlight or stop sign, and go to put it in 1st it wont let me, so I try again, and then again and finally after 3 to 4 tries it goes in gear. Like I said this only happens sometimes, like one day it will do it, then it wont for a week or 2, then it will once, and not again for a week or 2. Maybe it's normal, but this is just something I'd ask, thanks!!

2nd - Since I've installed my ZZP catless DP my Launch Control has allowed me to rev up to 5k, instead of 4k. Any reason for this, and I only tried this once just to hear the DP under LC, but it just seems weird it would allow me to rev to 5k now instead of 4k just because of a catless DP.

1st problem is normal, happens to me, reverse does it sometimes too. 2nd problem I dunno I don't use launch control.

That's great that problem 1 is normal, LOL. I figured it was, and I wasnt too worried about it because like I said it doesnt happen but a couple times a month on average. Still gotta find out about problem 2, even though I dont use LC. Thanks guys!!

for the second problem... are u tune? if so by who?

For problem 1, with the clutch in, try putting the shifter in second before going to first. This usually takes care of the problem. At a light I do this out of habit now. Another fix sometimes is to let off the clutch and then press the clutch again (with it in neutral obviously). This can also help.

I do something similar to keep reverse from being a problem.

problem 1 is actually addressed in the cobalt owner's manual. They say when you are at a complete stop with your clutch in and it wont go into 1st.....let off the clutch, push it back in and then it goes into gear every time!!

2nd problem.....uuuuuhhhhhh we have launch control?

I know we have LC. I've used it a few times, and it locks in a 4k rpms. Since I installed my DP, which was last week, it allows me to launch from 5k rpms. Now I've only done this once and was just confused as to why the DP would up the LC to 5k rpms now.
