2 Step Box for ss tc?
2 Step Box for ss tc?
Hey guys, this is completely a curious question so please nobody jump all over me. i have a bolted and tuned ss tc. now since with the trifecta tune i have adjustable launch control and all that, is there a possible way to ditch that and do a real 2 step instead on our cars?
Again, i was just curious about this so i appreciate the help!

ohh i gotcha yea i looked that one up a lil while ago. if i ever do it it will only be for the sound every once in a while haha. my trifecta launch control is set at like 60% so if i had a wot/2 step box would i still be able to use the trifecta launch control also? and would the wot shifts work with that box? im a bit confused on how the two will coordinate. sorry for all the questions haha
hhaha. its all good bro. i am a lil unsure about it myself. our cars come with a factory WOT BOX.
just have to be extremley fast while doing it. i suck at it. everytime i do it, it throws on a flashing CEL. lol
and our launch control wont build boost in neutral. all it does is hold RPMS at 5100 stock. a 2step box would do same thing. only if you can find a way for your car to build boost in nuetral. which is why i say on stock turbo setup is most likely not worth it.

well. the few times ive done it, coolant temp has always been above 180. also it was a 3rd to 4th shift. and my 3rd gear limiter is raised to 7000. and if i had dont a nls it would have been at 6900. so it would hit the limiter no matter how fast i want to do it.
so the bottom line is thw 2step isnt gud unless you turbo swap? and the wot box is dependent on your driving ability? i have one already but was advise not to put it in because my car has traction control, but the NLS in my car is headache being that i have a aftermarket clutch.
I'll have to look again, but I believe you can control the cut and resume in HPT on our cars by rpm for launch control. That would give the same effect. Its not faster, its just theres a difference in rpm between the cut and resume unlike the way launch control is set stock.
