2008 Colbalt engine Shuts off

Hi,
I have a 2008 Cobalt SS Turbo. Sometimes while I am driving the engine just shuts off. I turn the ignition off and the engine restarts without any problem. Has anyone had this happen to you? Any suggestions on the potential problem? Any solutions on how I can fix this problem?

put your vin in and see if it's had the ignition recall done.

Had the ignition recall done so that's not it. Couple codes come up I think they were p0236 and p2261. Tried checking the bypass valve seems fine, forget which sensor is related to p0236 but I thought I changed once before in the past (that's been a recurring code for a while now). But ya engine will randomly lose power and die for no apparent reason. Starts right back up after but intervals between the times it dies is becoming problematic. Don't know what's wrong.

Those codes shouldnt cause that. Get your ignition checked again

I never had my car shut off on me when those codes came up on my car, just went into limp mode. I replaced the BPV solenoid on the turbo and it fixed my issue. I realize this may not be the OP’s issue
