2009 SS/TC. How do I get RPD and LSD?
I went to my local Chevy Dealership and they basically told me no! It can't be done unless ordered from the factory.
Sooooo......
I am asking you guys for this help

Here's the LSD (same one that comes factory installed) http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...dcategory=5615
it's a little expensive, but still available and doable none the less if so desired..
The RPD is a little more difficult. I'm not sure if it can be special ordered directly through GM or not, but I think other than someone selling one second hand you might be S.O.L. on that one.

a couple of months ago there was a guy that was selling a RPD and there is also a how to on installing the RPD... for the tranny i think its cheaper if you get a new tranny with LSD on it already...thats what i did and i paid $1200 shipped for a NEW tranny with LSD...
Yes, DashDaq!

It does datalogging, audible alerts, reads damn near every PID available, and is generally the best alternative to an RPD you can get.

the RPD is in the Apillar correct? if your car didnt come with it stock is the harness still there for it to plug into? i know alot of options like those, the cars are all wired, all you have to do is add on the stuff. the new camaros are all wired for the four pack gauges, but only a few have the gauge in them from the factory
there was a write up were someone here installed one in a 2008 model, but the OP was bummed because the pre-2009 BCM is a little different and didn't properly communicate with the RPD - so the RPD remained in the (default) metric mode, and could not be changed - but it still did work.
I am 100% confident that you can install it - heck, if you're lucky you could buy all the needed parts (refer to the DIY thread) from a wrecked car...
I have already personally seen 2x2009 Cobalt SS's that were wrecked...
Even if less than 1/3 of the 2009's came with the RPD, there's gotta be at least one by now in a dismantlers hands with the RPD...

hey i got one of these for sale with the wideband sensor module if anyone is looking to buy.
$350 shipped with the wideband sensor and module and the plx gauge itself

paid about $500 for everything, only used it a few miles when i put the tvs on the car, then removed it about 5-10 miles later when i sold the tvs
that sir is correct;
some here ted to forget that cars are marketed/sold differently in each country...
for 2010 Canadian destined Cobalt SS's (RPO: Z49), there are no options, because they come fully loaded - in respect to the option list at the end of the 2009 model year.

Just get an interceptor. They're better than the RPD anyways, and it'll fit in the boost gauge spot. The only downside is that it ties up the ODB2 port. Only a concern if you're data logging, and you need something to read boost, since the data logger will likely only read up to 255 kpa.
