265/40/18's

Has anyone tried to run them? I remember a Guy a while ago running nt-05 tires in that size but don't remember if they rubbed or not. Got an awesome deal on some Mickey's.

Yes I know. PF01s arent available in a 9.5 on a 110 bolt pattern. However powell will know best just from his experience.

245/40/18 will rub on with certain tires on a 18x9. all depends on the sidewall design and your ride height. stock ride height or a slight drop will be fine but too low you will need body work to tuck them enough. 18x9.5 is big and will require some body work. the redlines are a lot more forgiving then the cobalts and johns fenders and quarters are rolled.

True. I have 235/40/18 kumhos and they seem to run a bit on the small side.
Im not sure of a cobalt running an 18x9.5 currently.

think most are on 18x8's. But john will be able to advise him.

john and i have dicussed this indept.....unless you do body work your not getting 9.5" rim in there period. a 18x9" rim witha 35mm offset is doable with rolled lips and 245s which will have a very slight stretch

when i had h&r springs on there(looks only) i rubbed with both the continentals and the re-11s. with the stance coilovers i still rubbed but i was at almost the same ride height. both 225/40/18.

Yeah and I wouldnt go over a 235 on SS/TC wheels either. I know plenty of people have gone 245 though.

they can be ran at stock ride height. might want to put some drag bags out back and make them real stiff to avoid rubbing.

more then likely going to rub. especially if hes on a 18x8 he will have a more protruded sidewall as 245s are ment for a larger width rim.

I have 245/40/18 NT-05's on my sedan.... no issues at all other than actually having traction.

will not work on the stock 8in wide rim.....
for a drag set up 265 is as high as id go but you wont be able to turn for crap!!

street and daily drivability id stick with no bigger than a 235/40

SS/TC wheels arent 8 inches they are 7.5 so 245 is a bit too wide for them.

Yeah the tires will fit its just a bit too wide on the wheel to be optimal but it works and looks good.
