Honestly the transmission issue is a big deal. There will be hardly any ecotecs around in the future at the rate of these f35 failures , your best bet is a F40 but even still that is so expensive of an option with proprietary parts and LSD is extra $$$

The transmission options haunt us people with big turbos.

Well I'm under that I'd say. I'd think I'd be at about 380 HP and there for I'd say equal to or less torque. Haven't dyno'd but looking at my mods, and what people with 93 octane make vs canada's crappy 91. I'd say around there.

Though the "around" part is what concerns me. If I had some kind of guaranteed it'd hold for that amount then I'd get one, but looking at the posts about the one ZZP was having built and selling they didn't seem to confident in the 400ftlbs. They kept saying they have people running at 400 HP, but didn't know how much torque it'd hold for sure. That didn't distil a lot of confidence in me. It'd be nice to know it was guaranteed to a certain amount, else if I put it on and it didn't hold...

I know it sucks. There's so many options to build these cars up for more and more power, but no options to hold said power. Figured by now someone would have came up with something. It's too bad.

There is plenty of options, its just nobody wants to pay for the good ****. Sequential gearboxes and dogboxes have been fitted to the ecotec with success.

Tell me more please. Interested in the details.
I heard of a couple people putting in 4T65 HD's but had to adjust the engine mounts, modify a bunch of stuff. Was a lot of work, and over 14 000 from the sounds.
For that much I'd rather just part out a few parts and figure out another car option.

6sp sequential gearbox:
ETV : 6sp. seq. gearbox - 3MO Racing Shop

This link is the Supersport Mk2 built by 999 motorsports which is a rear engine car that still utilizes a transaxle. Even better, the car comes with a GM LNF crate engine. They actually sell this car new, race ready with the gearbox listed above.

Ok, but has anyone put one of these in a cobalt?
I mean there are a few transmissions that will work well with the LNF, but actually getting them in the car is a whole nother story.

Also $17021.64, plus shipping, plus import duties, plus what ever modifications, etc it'll take to get it in the car.
Be better off buying a new car.

I meant to say it's sad no one has came up with a sane option to hold a little more power of a few bolt on parts and a tune.

There's not enough people that would buy a trans to make it worth it. Therefore the cost would be high. And as said the cobalt is a dying breed.

That's the thing...$$$$$$$ is what it takes to make a fast, reliable, 500+hp transaxle car. Its FWD race cars that are the dying breed, not just the balt. And really, the F35 is not that complicated to reinforce and make stronger. I'm confident it can be made to handle 450+ ft lbs. if you don't beat the **** out of it.
