500whp LNF sleeper

I'm new to cobalt. I decided to buy one after my svt focus took a crap. Now based on stock specs, came to the conclusion what I would go with. 2009 Cobalt SS Turbo LNF. My goal? A 500whp sleeper. Stock for the most part on the outside, all power under the hood. Anyone who can give me advice on how to achieve this goal would greatly be appreciated. Links would also help. Thank you

well first u should get urself a built ldk motor from zzp with stage 2 cams, u don't want the 09 lnf motor, most likely will develop porus block like so many others. then u can go 2 routes. either u can get the direct bolt on zfr 7163 turbo, or get the zzp turbo kit with the s257 sxe. that will get u 500whp for sure. that's the route I'm taking. zfr will do it as well though, probably will need meth or E though.

You need to spend sometime reading the various build thread on here. Multiple people have built LNFs over 500whp.

Do you really understand how powerful a 500whp fwd car is? The SVT focus has 1/3 the power you're targeting for.

Why would u wanna waste time building a gen 2 block not knowing if it will fail on you? Thats dumb. Throw ur nestalga or however i spell that , out the window and but a gen 3 block at least. Dont need to get a whole motor

Oh man, You got a lot to read my friend.

if that much power is your goal, I'd buy an LSJ and turbo swap it. Better transmission + Port fueling instead of Direction injection.

Its easier making that power on the lnf. He just needs the supporting mods to make it reliable

If you want 500....whp......reliably.......

Built top and bottom end
Built trans and good clutxh
Some sort of big turbo setup capable of flowing 550lbs a min or more.
Intercooler piping
Intercooler
Intake
Upgraded fuel system
A good tuner

Not to mention money on the side if your building it yourself. It will blow if you dont have experience with this.

wow. don't think I've ever seen a 550lb a min turbo. Thing must pull like a freight train once it spools next week.

but I agree with all of this.

Should probably add he will need a jet turbine engine to spool that turbo

I dont think they develope porus block like some sort of disease... Any motors that were effected im sure have already been replaced.
