I have 87k miles on my 08.

What general maintenance are you referring to?

You could replace shocks/struts if you want. Get your valves walnut blasted. change transmission fluid.

Hello, long time reader but first post.

I was just going to post something similar. I am at 51k miles, just got gms1 put on and waiting for my K&N typhoon intake, then i was thinking about dp/exhaust and a trifecta tune to make it all work well together. I was just wondering if there is any type of preventable maintenance people usually do at 50k to keep it running great. Or if with my mods/ future mods there is anything i should do to maintain reliability? I planned on replacing plugs with ACdelco when i install the intake.

Thanks and i look forward to chatting with everyone finally

Coolant/tranny fluid and stock spark plugs @. 75k. Doing same thing @ 150k. Getting real close. Walnut blast valves soon, still get at least 30 mpg might put it off a bit longer.

First thing I did when I got my LNF was get Powell's air/oil seperator to prevent any further valve coking. Getting your intake valves cleaned is a must. Other than that, plugs for sure. Tranny fluid isn't a bad idea either.

When should I get my valves cleaned or are there signs to look out for that will tell me they need to be cleaned?

Best thing to do is get a USB camera from ebay and stick it through the brake booster line and view the valves, but I'm guessing they are pretty gross.

Lube the brake slide pins. Change plugs. Change trans fluid.

They probably are not very clean now but it can get to the point where you'll have misfires and the engine won't run right or be as powerful. It wouldn't hurt to do it now and get the Powell PVC system so it can't happen again.
