Only run
88862472 from GM

2 quarts of this
Manual Transmission Fluid SAE 75W-85 GL/4 88862472

or from dealer
This. You can take the part number to the dealer and see how much they'll charge you and when it will be available.

OP you can run the GL5 stuff for a bit, like till next paycheck assuming your bi-weekly and just got paid last Friday.

I'm assuming no problems?

By the way does anyone know if the passenger air bag sensor thing is covered by a recall? Mines fucked up like a lot of other people's were. Keep getting the service airbag light.

Nope, no recall for us. When you unplug it underneath the seat, the pass seat belt light doesnt come on, but I am trying to find a way short of removing the bulb in the dash so that I dont have that red light either

Nope no huge problems. Haven't paid a cent since warranty ended. Just tires every 40-50,000km, Brake pads and rotors once. Stock suspension is starting to show its age with a bit of rattling in the rear. Hope to take the car to 400,000km but who knows. Oh and I'm Trifecta ECP tuned with a BOV, no coking issues. Still get 28-32mpg. Think ive been pretty lucky. 2010 def the best year.

Dumb question but do you just drain the fluid into an oil pan and dispose of it like you would motor oil?

Never changed tranny fluid on a car before

at auto parts stores they generally put it all in one giant barrel. Now show how it gets refurbished.

Hence why i would never buy recycled oil.

Mt-90 was put in the transmission in place of that other oil.

I'm wondering if I should do my serpentine belt, there's a squeak when I first take off and I read on here that someone said it was the serpentine belt.

Also just threw a code idk what it is cause I don't have a scanner but engine runs fine no boost leak so I'm assuming it's my catless downpipe I've only had it on for about 1000 miles. I'm getting a tune on Sunday so ill just get that deleted from the ecu.

He already said he can do it. Hes had a cobalt for a long while and he got into tuning a while ago so I'm sure he knows what to do.

Any input in the tiny squeaking when I take off? I read on a thread someone said Its the serpentine belt.

Check the belt for fraying or rub marks. If its bad then get an oem replacement. It could also not be seated on a pulley correctly.
