Lordy, thats impressive.

How long have you had the kit on and who's your tuner, out of curiosity.

How much timing? MBT timing is around 23-25.5* at those loads on high octane fuel on the LNF.

Only 17ish degrees

This is my second year with the kit. I am tuned by Sskev/ontariokev. The first year the car took a beating and was fine. We used ecm boost control and we didn't get much torque out of it...maybe 360wtq but a tonne of top end HP. I grabbed the aem truboost and we have a great curve now...unfortunately it killed it.

This was after I ran the car for one year on an e47 tune stock turbo that put down 434wtq and 360 whp. Before that I was tuned for one year on pump gas 27psi and made 389wtq.

So yeah....she's been a good car.

Yeah and Kevin posed for the glamour shot after we blew the trans. He was happy. I'm not upset. We pound the **** out of this car. On the dyno and track. We knew this day would come.

Yeah it has at least 5* more in it. Good stuff and yes the stock wg control seems to hate big turbo swaps and does try to limit torque. The little BNR2871 turbos it is a non issue but with the bigger ones it can be.

there is a LNF engine and trans on kijiji in the TO area for 3k. might be worth it for a back up.

First lesson - never replace a stock part with another stock part. Replace with better.

Fortys sky LNF made 445 wtrq and 369 whp at only 24 psi (no boost spike above 24 psi) on the stock turbo with cams and e-85

Good advice. Especially on used trans and engine where 99% of them has been abused. LOL... Putting new oem parts may be ok just to get by.

Not slow by any stretch though. It ran a 3.9 second 60-100 and the sky has to rev to 7400 in 3rd to get to 100 and 60 is well past peak torque. Cobalt trans has better gearing for 60-100 pulls.

No crazy 30 psi spike tune. Peak boost was 24 psi then it tapered off from there. With the cams boost dropped 2 psi across the entire rev range but torque was up 35 ft lbs and hp up 12 even with the 2 psi drop due to better breathing.

The 08-09 Saab 2.0 6 speed is best for drag racing. Thats what ZZP uses and
their around 1000 ea

Yeah. A lot of ppl have stepped up for me - thanks for everything. Powell might have the best solution for me but I won't know till tomorrow. He is checking the gear set on a trans he has.
