Thumbs down Another EFR takes a S*!t

Pretty sure the EFR is fubar.. Going back to stock and trading it in for a Cadillac ATS 2.0T rwd. That's all and it was fun while it lasted!

It was about that time anyway, I can't complain motor and transmission held up to 20k+ miles of everything I threw at it.

Not sure what I'll be parting out yet cause I might get another efr and slap it on the ATS if that's the car I decide on.

Pretty sure the rwd is only 3300#, if it was making 400whp 400tq it would make a fun DD.

This is very true. They seem to take a pretty good beating. If you go the ATS route I'm sure you'll have fun with it. And I know how you feel about it being time to move on. I've made two quick jumps from the Cobalt. Probably stuck with this one for a long time though.

Ahh, I'm sorry to hear that man. Keep us update on what happened exactly on your EFR. I'm very interested to hear.

Not looking good for the quality of the EFRs. The BNRs are doing much better lasting so far.

Mine was getting oil blow by for awhile and it still boosts fine, but sounds like the compressor wheel is rubbing. I parked the car till i can look at it..

For basically doubling the factory power output, I'd say it held up pretty well with the abuse. Those ATSs with the limited tuning availability put out nice numbers with just a tune. I couldn't imagine it with a monster, quick spooling turbo. Hopefully the unsuspecting victims wear their rape whistles!

OP, sorry to hear.. How much boost were you pushing on the EFR?
ATS is a good step up from a Cobalt. Now if they only have an ATS-V..

Seems like the little BW K-04 is more durable than the BW EFR even though the EFR is their top of the line turbo line.

2 that I know of so far. Kinda a rare turbo compared to the BNR and I have not heard of a single BNR failing (a couple with oil feed line leaks but that is it)
